Living in a city like New York we are lucky enough to be in the heart of consolidation. It's not out of the ordinary for other cities like Houston and New Orleans to clear out their merchandise and send it to the Big Apple at the tail end of sale season.
The Internet is also a great medium for blasting out product. Take Barneys, for instance. Barneys.com added a bunch of new merchandise to it's site this weekend. Their sale started a few weeks ago but there's lots of inventory that was not there even last week.
