The selection may not be as high end as Saks but Nordstrom is matching Saks' pre-Thanksgiving sale buy giving shoppers an additional 50% off merchandise that has already been reduced 40% for a total savings of 70% off. The sale goes through 12/7.
You may not be able to score Louboutins but some stores carry high end brands, like Chloe, Proenza Schouler and Dolce and Gabbana. Locally you can try the Norstrom at Roosevelt Field (516-746-0011) but the best selection is found near company headquarters in Seattle (206-628-2111).

In stores... for now.
Nordstroms will take phone orders so if you know what you want try calling around to few stores and have them ship it to you. Many of the stores are upping the number of high end brands too.
Also lets not forget the beauty event at Bergdorfs starting tomorrow!!!!
Hmmm.... don't know about the Bergdorf Beauty event - usually I get something in the mail. Can you fill me in?
I think it's spend $100 get $25 back. Which isn't as good as it used to be, when it was spend $50 and get $25 back. Geesh...I'm getting old when I start remembering past deals and sales.
It's the usual $25 off of $100. Dec 4-7. I'm all stocked up right now, and don't know what all the freebies are other than:
Edward Bess: free full size Secret Desire lipstick
Clarins: two deluxe samples (like half of a full size)
Wow it used to be $25 off of $50! That's amazing.
I believe Chanel at Bergdorfs is also adding an extra gift if you spend $200.
has anyone been to this sale yet? I am a New Yorker, visiting Chicago now and the Nordstoms here isn't doing the extra %off...maybe this is just NY? A shame b/c the Michigan Ave store has YSL, Valentino, Loubatain, etc

Just spoke to the Seattle Flagship store and they are not doing the extra 50%. They said they would match Saks price on a specific shoe if can verify same shoe/style.
Disappointment in SF too. No signs. No mob. When I mustered up the courage to ask, sales rep had no idea of addt'l markdown. But, when I went to the designer section, they were offering vip's addt'l 30 for nordstrom card holders.
i called the store in westchester, ny and they also said there was no extra markdown and they did not know what i was talking about.
What stores has this worked at? I called several in the country and none of them have honored the match...
