Mikimoto Sample Sale

Twice a year Mikimoto holds a private sale for employees and their friends. The sale usually takes place at their Fifth Avenue showroom, but like the economy the Mikimoto sale is changing. The exclusive private event is now a sample sale at Soiffer Haskin.

Supposedly the selection this season is more abundant and they needed to outsource the sale because they needed the extra space. Along with the increased inventory we imagine you can expect higher prices. Sale details are below but also know that Mikimoto carries a lower-end line than their prized AAA-quality pearls. The company also manufactures a collection of pearls for jewelry stores like Kay. So if the deal seems too good there might be a reason for that.

Mikimoto Sale
Dates: Sunday, June 7th through Wednesday, June 10th.
Hours: Sun-Tues 9:00-6:30 pm, Wed 9:00-5:00 pm.
Location: Soiffer Haskin 317 W 33rd. Street, NYC (West of 8th. Ave).
Etc: Credit cards only
All Sales Final. No Exchanges. No Returns.
Strollers not allowed. No children under 12 admitted.

The sale is great, 40% to 70% off. Though last time they have some at 80% off which is even better. But selection this time is much better than last time. Many original $4,000 to $10,000 pieces with beautiful diamonds. No line, no waiting, I guess these are expansive goods after all. You can also find things for orig. $1,000 - $4,000, or buy to your heart's content, they have fancy things for you. If you are in the market for high end jewelry, you can't beat the discount of this sale. Just don't sign over your house to Mitomoto, unless your are under water, haha. I wish they could at least give out jewelry box for my $2,300 (buy price) diamond and pearl pendant. Instead, it is in tiny zip lock bag and a cheap looking Mikimoto blue pouch in a typical Soiffer Haskin brown bag Man, they can't even give me a $5 box? There was none in the place, not that I was excluded. You have to be like me, a frequent jewelry buyer to appreciate the sale. It's like buying real diamond in supermarket. You know the quality and price is good, just it does not feel like it.

Absolutely agree.....much more range thank prior year, though discounts were greater last year. That said, if you have the cash they have some amazing pieces $15k and up that are 50% off or so. Including an increadible $250K necklace, now going for $125K. I purchased black south seas earrings 10 mm diameter wt diamonds, for $1100, unfourtunately only 50% off :(
Also there are some great rings, but their sizes run small - and for all those wanted opera strands - they have plenty. Enjoy!!
