Running Manolos

You may be able to run in Manolos but forget about hiding. Racked reports that angry shoe fiends are breaking their heels over the fact that intel on the super secret, hush, hush Manolo sale has leaked into the blogosphere.

Some Manolo lovers are so paranoid that they are imagining a venue change.

We say, calm down. You don't want to twist an ankle. If there's a venue change we'll find out and pass on the news. Hey, that's what spies do, right? Equal opportunity shopping for everyone!

(You hear that Louboutin VIP Sale?)

In case you missed it the first time:

Manolo Blahnik Sample Sale

For a blog that purports not to be a sample sale blog, you have an awful lot of posts on sample sales lately. Maybe you can't find any other sources to steal information from?

whats with all the hating? just because she shared with us some info about a sale that others (including probably you) were trying to keep to yourselves and not let everyone have the opportunity to buy some nice shoes? you make me sick.

i think the issue people have is not that she shares information, but that she gets information from secondary sources that didn't intend to share the information with a blog audience and then tries to pass the information off as her own. any information she gets from the primary source on her own is fair game but it probably irks some people that she uses their information and passes it off as her own.

Anon at 11:23, who cares where she gets the information. at least she shares it with us instead of hoarding it so that only you benefit.

Totally agree with 12:53, I wonder what makes some people think they are "entitled" to the information even if they are the general public just like everyone else.

What time is the sale slotted to start and when do you recommend actually showing up?
Any ideas as to what sizes will be available at the sale?

12:53 and 3:11, I get your point and it is nice that she shares the info with us readers. She has shared alot info that I have been grateful for. But, because she is someone who runs a blog and relays information to her readers, I think in the interest of full disclosure that she should disclose if and when she gets information straight from someone else's blog or a discussion forum (as opposed to her getting the information from sources in the industry, or from a store, etc. which does not require disclosure). I think it is misleading otherwise and it is stealing other peoples' information that isn't hers to share.

not sure where you are getting the entitled to information part.

all in all i am a reader of this blog and think she does some great work that benefits me(not my wallet!! :)) but would appreciate a cite to the source if you get your info from someone else's blog or post. that's all.

um i think most of the info is from from her mailbox. i get most of these notices in my own mailbox. who cares where's its from? sample sales rely on this word of mouth effect. if a brand is serious about not having coupons being circulated they usually have a barcode imprint that only allows it to be used once. if you don't like it, don't read the blog.

uh okay, are you the person running this blog? otherwise you don't know. like i said, i get most of these notices in my own inbox, they aren't exactly nuclear launch codes. if they aren't sent directly from the brand, the emails are circulated a few hours later from friends, acquaintances, colleagues. i agree with anonymous 9:43AM, what's with all the hating? she's doing a good job running the blog.
