Christian Louboutin Sample Sale

It's that time of year again and the information has already leaked. The Christian Louboutin sample sale is upon us. Blogger Mizhattan says the sale starts Tuesday but we are told that invites for Friday have already been distributed.

Past experience has taught us that the sale runs more than a week but the first few days are strictly limited to VIPs and celebs. (Blake Lively inists on getting first pick.) Editors, wholesale clients and friends and family are usually given shopping slots towards the end of the week. (This is your best opportunity to use your hustle if you don't have an invite.)

Mizhattan writes, "Furthermore, for those expecting a full Mizhattan report, please note that out of respect for Louboutin's privacy, I will not be covering this event." Truth is that the Christian Louboutin PR reps offer bloggers invites only if they promise NOT to cover the sale. We say, keep your invite. We have readers to inform!

Stay tuned. We will be sure to keep you updated all next week. You can click here to get a report from last season's sale

Can you let us know when it is okay for regular people to go there?

Is the sale back on today? Does anyone know?

I took a shot and went on Sunday. There was a sign on the door that said, "Dear Visitors, Please note there is NO Christian Louboutin sample sale happening at this time." That same day, I found myself at the CL store on Horatio Street and asked about the sample sale. I was told by the cashier that the entire sale is only for the media. (Not that I wouldn't still try- it would be worth it!)

I tried to go today and was rudely turned away by a short bitch with CL flats. (At least wear heels if you want to play bad) I didn't have an invite so I knew I was taking a risk but she could have at least been more polite. She made Christian Louboutin look bad himself for allowing such poor help to be hired. Otherwise, its worth the risk if you have the time as I am planning to try again on Friday. What I will say for Manolos, at least their sample sales are public.
