Intermix Extra 50% Off Sale Items = 80% Savings

Intermix has started their final clearance sale and all sale items are an extra 50% off, which brings the discount above 80% off on many items. Don't let the start of August cause you to completely direct your fashion attention towards fall. There's still lots of vacation days for which to dress up.

When shopping this late in the season we like to try and pick items that are wearable now through the warm weather months of autumn. Our wear now and wear later picks include, leopard print wide leg pants from 10 Crosby Derek Lam that come to $110 from $375, Sara Battaglia fringed shoulder bags for $330 from $1200, Markus Lupfer foil lip tee for $30 from $150. This Barbara Bui leather jacket is perfectly on trend for fall in every way and is priced at $460 from $1700.

Remember, just because an item is being sold as part of summer clearance doesn't mean it needs to be stocked away come Labor Day. In reality, most non-beach clothing can be worn well into October.

Inspiring #BacktoSchool from Backpacks to Dorms

Don't deny it, #BacktoSchool shopping is the best part of the fall season. Ever since Kindergarten we've eagerly anticipated the end of the summer so that we can start stocking up on fresh school supplies and the newest fashion.

Using eBay, we curated a couple collections to inspire your style for the start of the new academic year. We started off with a grouping our favorite backpack styles. We especially like bold prints for girls and sleek color-blocking for boys. Check out this girl's bag with colorful cat-eye sunglasses, this blue and white crackerjack camo print and this preppy navy blue bat that has red pipping and zipper accents.

Those entering the next phase of their lives, shouldn't be limited by institutional dorm rooms. In this collection about dorm room decor, we suggest amping up a small space with bright bedding, a wall mounted mirror and colorful kitchen accessories.

You can check out all of our inspiring eBay collections here and you can enter a chance to win $500 by creating your own #BacktoSchool collection. Click here to get started. After all, it' never too early to get shopping for a new season.

Designer Bags Discounted 70% on Forzieri

Earlier this year, I had to buy a gifts for a couple that are nearly impossible to impress. They have both been all over the world and have the privilege to be able to afford themselves most anything they like. The gift had to be thoughtful and useful. After all, who needs more clutter?

While shopping online, I became intimately acquainted with the website Forzieri. The website isn't new  but it has some really great Euro fashion and classics. If that's your thing, we suggest you shop now if you like European design and style coupled with great all-American markdowns. Right now, the site is hosting a summer luxury sale were many designer items are discounted up to 70%. Plus, if you can save an extra 20% by using the code EXTRA20 at checkout.

We couldn't believe how many hard-to-find designer bags are on sale. Here's Valentino Rockstud patent leather bag that comes to $1200 from $3158. The blue Jil Sander market totes are a steal for $400 from $1275 and even a fashion street style fashion blogger can afford to rock this Kenzo bag at fashion week with a price of just over $300 from almost $1000.  Check out this European-feel Leonardo del Fuoco iPad bag that comes to $1020 from $2520. The bright-green, embossed croc, against the hard black leather, is as eye catching as a Celine bag and it's perfect for work-- even if you work at Vogue. This Philipp Plein black studded bag is also a great value for $710 from $2215.

Although it's hard to get past the markdown on handbags without breaking the bank, you should also check out these Loriblu studded biker boots for $310 from $780 and these McQ Alexander McQueen bumble-bee yellow and black heels are $220 from $675. A Valentino leather Rockstud bracelet is $160 from $345 and this Zadig & Voltaire studded belt is a good price too at $150 from $278. Ohhh, ohhh, ohhh--the John Galliano skinny scarf is perfectly on trend for fall 2014 (see Prada's runway) and it's less than $80 from $186.

Although this is European, the VAT has already been removed and shipping is free with a $150 purchase. The site's gift wrapping is expensive at $7 but some times the presentation is as valuable as the gift. In this instance, I would say the extra price is worth it.

100s of Manolo Shoes Marked 75% Off

It's not rare to see a bunch of tourists lining up for an unseemly amount of time and chuckle to yourself. Today, it was the tourists coming from the MoMa who were laughing as New Yorkers  waited nearly an hour to gain entrance to Manolo Blahnik's final markdown.

At around noon today, the wait to get inside the designer boutique ran up to 45 minutes. If there was ever a fashionable line this was it. Many of the attendees arrived in non-TLC Escalades and one pair of women was escorted by personal security.

Once inside, shoppers were delighted with an assortment of shoes that were all priced according to color coded stickers-- red is $195, yellow is $225, greens are $250 and blues are $295. Croc shoes are all half-off. The retail price for these lovelies is $3000 and up. You can click here to see all the shoes that are available at the sale.

Most of the sale selection is from this past spring and summer collection. We found lots of styles with PVC, classic sling backs, flats, loafers, classic sandals and more daring caged sandals too. What makes this sale great is that most shoes fall within the $195 category. Unlike past seasons, we didn't see a lot of jeweled classic Hangisi-style shoes.

Although some readers companied that the service during the sample sale wasn't ideal, we were wildly surprised. One must remember that a huge sale, such as this, can be difficult for a sales associate to navigate. The days are long and very, very busy. The customers are demanding and, as always, everyone is a rush.

So now, you can rush here to view pictures of all the sale shoes. Afterwards, head out to get your Manolos while they last. The sale ends August 7.

It's not even August and the hottest pieces of the new collections are already selling out. Of course, some shoppers want to be on top of the game but we still can't believe how quickly fashion can fly.

In order to compile this list of sold out items we spoke to sales people at smaller boutiques, who usually don't order in quantity, and searched through dozens of online luxury stores. We suggest you snatch up anything on this list as nothing is more needed than an item that can't be had.

Erdem Aubrey Short-Sleeve Lace Mini Dress $2350
Stella McCartney Fringe-Wavy Cady Minidress $5490

The Best Manolo Sale Ever Starts Now

Our favorite Manolo Blahnik sale is finally here and it could be the best boutique sale ever. These final markdown sales always boast discounts at about 75% off and usually only run for just four days but this year the sale is 10-jam-packed-days of Manolo bargains.

The markdown event will begin this Monday and run through August 7th. Once the sale ends the Blahnik  boutique will close as it undergoes bit of a facelift. The planned renovations will continue until Monday, August 25th, when the store will reopen with the new collection.

We expect that the added sale days mean that that there will be a huge amount of inventory. We might even venture to say, this sale will be better than the sample sale. During final markdown events, shoes are always marked by sticker dots. Prices usually range from $195 for a red dot up to $375 for a green dot. Most shoes and low boots-- even highly ornate styles-- are priced at $225. Last season, Lisa pumps were a budget friendly $225 and high boots were $325.

The store can get crowded but at least there isn't usually a long line to get in. Although this sale runs longer than usual, we would suggest trying to attend towards the beginning days. We doubt there will be a lot of restocking. Styles and sizes always run low quickly.

The Outnet Summer Sale 80% Off

When it's time for The Outnet's bi-annual sale you have two choices: Hide the credit card or give in and max it out. Today we are choosing for the max-out option. We'll show you why.
Check out this Jill Stuart strapless dress that comes to $150 from about $750. That's 80% off. Pre-owned doesn't even get priced this low. These Stella McCartney white wide-leg pants are more than 80% off, $325 from $1855.

Even if our top picks, you have to appreciate the quality and value. At 80% off you can afford to admire them up close. These Nicholas Kirkwood shoes are an outfit maker and, dare we say, inexpensive at $225 from $1240.

Normally, this sale seems to have a lot more merchandise but there are still some great items zest up the August blues. (Is there such a thing?) We especially love The Row sunnies that ring in under $100 from $422 and a Nina Ricci bag is $160 from $675.

The sale runs through Monday. We only wish The Outnet would allow us to delight in these types of discounts more often.

Spying on Amuze

There are so many places to shop online but it's not easy to find a destination that offers a great selection, affordable prices and top customer service. That is precisely why we love Amuze so much. The site has everything we could imagine--great fashion, great discounts and wonderful service.
Amuze offers up to 80% off on fabulous designers like Tom Ford, Balenciaga, Fendi, Valentino and more. Everything on the site is always brand new and authentic. Not to be overlooked, is the quick shipping, which means near instant gratification from your purchases.

This week, Madison Avenue Spy teamed up with Amuze to pick our favorite items from the site. The carefully curated selection includes great finds from Reede Krakoff, Miu Miu, Saint Laurent and Marni. This selection is all about great designers, beautiful items and plenty of luxe at affordable prices.

Vera Wang 75% Off

One would think that shopping for discounts at this time of year would be an easy task. Today we scoured Soho looking for wonderful end-of-season sales and practically came up empty handed. That is, until we ventured into Vera Wang.
The designer's Soho store, which is comprised of her ready-to-wear runway collection, is enticing customers with 75% off summer clothing. We found a brushstroke cocktail dress for $460 from $1595, a brocade dress is about $300 from $1195 and cobalt blue palazzo pants are $187 from $750. You can check out more pictures from our Vera Wang finds here.

Chanel's 2nd Markdown

Despite naysayers, Chanel has started a second markdown. Beginning Wednesday, the discount on clothing, shoes, jewelry and bags (if you can find one) is 60% off.
We did some Chanel hunting and found that Bergdorf Goodman still has quite a nice selection of merchandise. A hot pink tweed dress (above) comes to $4480 from $11K, a cream colored cropped tweed jacket is $3700 from $9300 and lace blouse is $1640 from $4100. You would be hard pressed to find anyone who would say any of these items are a steal but 60% off will save you a huge amount of money.

Around the store we also found enamel flower earrings for $164 from $410, pink ballet flats for $290, slingback pumps for $395, booties for $582 from $1295 and leather flower sandals for $318. You can referring pictures after the jump.

We suggest scouting your local Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman if you're looking for excess Chanel inventory. There is still a small selection at Saks Fifth Avenue but their final sale policy is not comforting when spending large sums of money.

DSW $199 Shoe Sale

DSW has clearly shifted away from carrying a large inventory of designer shoes but there are still some great items on which to feast. Right now company's site has a couple of dozen designer shoes that are all marked $150 and below.

The famous shoe retailer has an assortment of deeply discounted shoes from Giuseppe Zanotti, Sergio Rossi and Ralph Lauren. Check out these Zanotti nailed flats that are now $199 from over $500 and these suede booties are just $150 from about $700. Outside the rock bottom clearance section, there are other attractively priced shoes. These Sergio Rossi nude pumps are $200 from $570 and these Ralph Lauren collection sky-high sandals are $200 from almost $1000.

Although this sale doesn't include the depth and range of inventory and designers, there are still a few good pieces. Unfortunately, the day of finding great deals in at big discounters is getting increasingly more difficult.

Agent Provocateur Reduced to Seduce

Agent Provocateur is hosting an end-of-season sale where sexy little things are discounted  80% off. Besides for the expected underpinnings, the sale includes bikinis, nightwear, "playsuits" and more.

Take a peek inside and you'll find this Jet Corset reduced to $170 from $700, a french lace bra is $70 from $250 and the matching thong is $40 from $170. The coordinating suspenders and robe are deeply discounted too. We also found interesting pieces, like this Thora Dress $350 from $1050. It's sure to turn heads in the boardroom and was supposedly inspired by Dior in the 40s.

The sale is also in Agent Provocatuer stores, including the Madison Avenue location. Even though most of the merchandise isn't what most of us would consider functional, it's always nice to celebrate your sexy-- especially when it's 80% off.

Back to School With Nordstrom's Anni Sale

Sometimes shopping for Fall while your feet are still in the sand is a bit difficult but we noticed that the prices at this year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is even more discounted than last year. Discounts are primarily on exclusive items made for the sale but we have to admit that there is quite a bit of temptation.

Back-to-school items are especially attractive during this Nordstrom sale. For example, we wouldn't be caught dead wearing Uggs but they are a staple for school-age children. These tassel Uggs
are regularly $170 but are temporarily priced at $99 for the Anniversary Sale. Frye boots are equally as questionable but this moto-esque style for kids is $99 from $160. Check out this adorable toddler's Burberry coat, which is normally $250 but is now discounted to $160 and this too-cool-for-school Herschel Supply Company backpack  for $35 from $55.

We are a bit choosier when picking pre-season items for ourselves but we quickly snatched this Carven Embroidered sweatshirt. How can you resist when the price is $190 from almost $300? This Missoni long cashmere coat isn't bad either for $1200 from $2000. How about these Chloe Heloise high boots for $660 from $1000?

We can't say that the Anniversary Sale is a big opportunity to stock up on discount beauty supplies but it's really just a hard to resist. You likely don't need any of these items but a discount in a cosmetic department is hard to turn down. Who doesn't love a new lipstick or jar of cream?

We are always big fans of Butter polish and couldn't resist the exclusive polish 10-piece set for for $49  (value $100) . La Mer's  signature moisturizing cream is priced at $990 from $1360 and a set of Stila lip glaze is valued at $110 but priced at only $25.

The preseason discount runs until August 3rd and then prices are set at the full retail values. While shopping the discounts for fall we suggest also browsing the end of season sale where markdowns are about 60% off.

Proenza Schouler Sample Sale

Proenza Schouler is hosting a one day sample sale-- and Thursday is the day. Clothing, shoes and accessories will be discounted about 70% off.
Last session's sample sale was a bit of a but but we are told that the selection this time around is quite impressive. (You see, there are some positives to Summer in the city.) Bags are $400, clutches are $199 and clothing is 70% off retail. As is often the case, samples are the best deal with prices ranging from $29 to $500.

If you're lucky enough to be in neighborhood, we absolutely suggest shopping the PS sale. There could be a line when the sale opens but there historically hasn't been a wait after 10am. If you can't make it to the sale, the ProenzaSchouler.com has a great selection of bags discounts 50% to 60% off retail.

Proenza Schouler Sample Sale
Thursday, July 17th
9am to 6pm

Ralph Lauren Now 70% Off

Ralph Lauren  started their summer clearance today and most merchandise is now reduced 70%. Although this isn't the biggest discount for the Americana-designer, this is the time of year where you can find the best sale selection.

In most cases, the Ralph Lauren boutique will match the online prices but you will need to wait for a manager's authorization. In this instance it might just be easier to shop online.

After sorting through all of Ralph Lauren's difference collections and price points we have grown rather fond of the Black Label Denim line. Check out this waxed denim and leather dress that's now $413 from $1300 and this scoop neck sweater that's $440 from $1100. Of course, the sale includes a lot of polos. We happen to prefer the boys sizes for ourselves and grabbed this white and neon green big pony polo for $20 from $45 and these 11 big polo color combinations are just $15 from $45.

In the "grown-up" men's section, there is a white Black Label Denim paratrooper jacket for $720 from $2000, custom fit polos starting at $35 from $85 and these colorful swim trunks for $35 from $85.

You should take note that the new markdown just started today and merchandise is selling rather quickly. We suggest not procrastinating on checkout. We had items sell out as they were in our shopping cart. And it's always ironic how much more you "need" an item once you can't have it.

Super Chanel, Hermes, Celine & Vuitton Sale

Looking to spice up summer with a super purchase without wiping out your weekend travel budget? We have just the right sale. Linda's Stuff is hosting one of her largest eBay sales ever. The selection includes over 500 handbag styles. The best part is that it's not an auction and every purchase is accompanied with instant gratification.

The sale includes the best high-end handbags from Chanel, Hermes, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and more. The shopping event officially begins on Tuesday and will run for only three days. All of the luxury handbags are listed at deeply slashed prices and the buyer gets $50 off when they spend $500 or more.

We don't blame you if you're feeling overwhelmed by all of the choices. We hope you don't mind if we direct your attention to a few of our favorites: a yellow Hermes Kelly, the gold Hermes Constance, the Louis Vuitton Bucket bag and a Chanel East-West. Seriously, how can you resist that bright sunny Kelly bag?

Don't let these wonderful prices cause you doubt. All of these sale items are verified by professional authenticators. So get clicking and shop away. The sale ends Friday, July 18 at 11am EST.

SSense, the international luxury online retailer, is closing out the summer retail season with a bang. Right now, all final markdowns are an additional 20% off. The end of the season promotion runs through Wednesday.

While browsing, we found this Helmut Lang leather blazer that comes to just $260 from $1325, this Kenzo jumpsuit comes to $160 from $875 and this mini PS11 is  just $640 from $2000. (That's less than the price of a pre-owned version.) The above lookbook contains our favorite sale items.

Take note: All final markdowns are not retainable. That mean's that you better know that it's going to be fit or know that you can get a reasonable ROI if you make a mistake.

The best part is that you don't need to leave the Upper East Side. It's right in the 'hood.

35+ Pics From Inside Barneys 75% Off

This week Barneys took its third markdown bringing the potential savings to 75% off. The online discounts are the same but and we are very surprised to see that the online selection is so close to what's available on Madison. Returns  on sale merchandise are accepted for 30-days after your purchase, which gives Barneys a big leg up over the final sale rules at Saks.

As as you contemplate leaving your well air-conditioned environment for the hot New York pavement, we scoured every cranny of the Barneys New York flagship store. After the jump we have more than 35 pictures of sale merchandise. Links are added to items that can also still be found online.

We started out hunt on the main floor where there are still a few bags left from the prior markdowns. The discount on most handbags is 60% off. We found this tropical print Proenza Schouler tote for $399 from $995, a Givenchy snakeskin clutch is still pricey at about $1440 from $3600 and an Alaia studded snakeskin shopper is $2349 from $7400. Generally, most of the bags that are still left were tremendously overpriced to begin with.

Moving upstairs onto ready-to-wear, we found an L'Wren Scott eyelet dress for $1400 from $2350, a layered 3.1 Philip Lim dress is $209 from $695, a Celine drawstring dress with sheer overlay is $529 from $2100, the iconic YSL lip wrap dress is $869 from $3490 and an Ungaro jeweled skirt is $1249 from just about $5000. We also found a Cedric Charlier sleeveless top marked $279 (but the online price is $169) from almost $700.

Heading up to the fourth floor shoe collections, we were surprised to find so many racks of shoes. There is still an assortment of Chanel and Louboutin. Chanel shoes are all still only 40% off but some Louboutins are discounted 60%, like a pair with PVC with gold ornaments are $399 from $995 but snake skin flats are still $719 from $1200. Saint Laurent cap toe ballet flats are $179 from $445, Fendi strappy flat sandals are $299 from $750 and Givenchy block heel sandals are $399 from $995. Hop, skip and jump to see more pictures and prices from our Barneys outing.

Manolo Markdowns Begin

The Manolo Blahnik's boutique sale is happily on its way. The savings are currently 30% off but in just days the markdown will go to will be 50%.
As far as sales go, the department stores are serving up better discounts. Just don't expect to find any of the more interesting styles in Bergodorf or Saks.

Towards the end of the month, Manlolo adds a third "sticker" markdown where prices start at just $250. You can see our past overage of Manolo's sticker sales here. We always prefer the boutique final markdown to the sample sale-- at least you get a box with your shoes.

Nordstrom's 88-Page Anniversary Sale Catalogue

It appears as if New York shoppers are over Saks Fifth Avenue and their "no returns" sale and more than ready to embrace Nordstrom's stellar customer service. While the countdown continues for the opening of Nordstrom on West 57th Street, we found the private link to the store's famous Anniversary Sale.
The 88-page catalogue features highlights from fall fashion all offered at an early access discount. Take note, that most of the collection is exclusives that were made speficially for this pre-season promotion. Nordstom credit card holders can shop the pre-sale between July 10 and July 17, afterwards the sale opens to everyone. All prices go up on August 4, when the pre-season promotion ends.

You can click here to preview the entire catalogue won't go online until later this week. Inside, we found gorgeous Stuart Weitzman boots for $340 going to $665 on page 18, on page 32 is a Halogen leather shift dress for $200 going to $400 and on page 54 there are about a dozen styles of Nike sneakers that are discounted about 30%. The Anniversary Sale also includes a large variety of beauty sets--like you find during the holiday season-- from the likes of Jo Malone, Yves Saint Laurent, Laura Mercier and NARS.

Personally, we aren't fond of shopping for sweaters while we are in swimsuits. This is an ideal sale for those who prefer to shop in the pre-season. Now, can someone pass the SPF 30?

The Best Holiday Weekend Sale

July 4th might have passed but there's still one more day to grab some great deals at our favorite online designer discount store, Amuze. The holiday sale boasts discounts up to 90% off of great designer merchandise from Valentino, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Prada, Gucci and more.
Check out these Saint Laurent pony Tribute sandals for $325, these Nicholas Kirkwood heels for $175, a Givenchy dress for $295 and a Valentino tote for $395. There is even a great selection of clothing from Baby Dior and Oscar de la Renta kids.

We couldn't imagine anyone not loving all these discounts but it's also good to know that Amuze allows returns for either store credit or refund (minus shipping, of course). But shop fast, these deals will disappear as quickly as a firework at midnight on Monday.

Inside What's Left From Zara's Sale

Nowadays you can shop for Zara anywhere in the world or anyplace with WiFi but insiders know that not all Zara stores are created equally. Our favorite Manhattan location is the mid-town Fifth Avenue store. This particular location is luxurious, has lots of inventory and has always has great limited edition merchandise.

When it's time to shop Zara sale, there is no better place to go. If you're looking for shoes we couldn't recommend a better place. Most styles are priced between $39 and $69 from $70 to $120. We found lots of these leather and mesh high-heel shoe booties, these metal plate sandals and a variety of these white Birkenstishes. Styles not online, include lizard embossed slip-on-sneakers, pointy toe flats and black mesh heel-booties.

Most of the best looking bags are not on sale but we are rather fond of this perforated bucket bag for $99 from $139. Besides the bucket, there wasn't anything remarkable.

Focusing on clothing, there is a lot. There are these lightweight coats in blue or yellow for $90 from $160, all types of jeans and pants for $59 and shorts and skirts for $29. This location also has lots of swimsuits (that aren't on the web) at $15 for a bikini bottom or $30 for a one piece.

There still seems to be a healthy amount of merchandise in Zara stores. We wouldn't be surprised if the sale continued for a few more weeks in stores and through the end of the month online. Click here to see photos from our shopping excursion.

50 Pics Inside Saks 70% Off

The discount at Saks Fifth Avenue goes to 70% off starting Wednesday. The online sale started today but, as usual, the in-store assortment is much better. Beware, since Hudson Bay Company purchased Saks, they have created new rules. All third markdowns are final sale. We are told that these rules are strict and there are absolutely no backsies.

As you head out for the holiday weekend, it's hard not to wonder what you might be missing inside the store. To quench your curiosity we scoured every cranny of the Saks flagship to bring you a virtual shopping experience. After the jump we have more than 50 pictures of sale merchandise. Links are added to items that can also still be found online.

We started out hunt on the main floor where there are still a few bags left from the prior markdowns. We found this Alexander McQueen clutch that's now $898 from $2245.
