No Manolos For You (or Louboutins Too)

False alarm: The Manolo Blahnik sale is not today. Turns out the Blahnik sale is next week.

Seems as if team MB didn't appreciate the pre-publicity and is poised to maintain an invite-only policy. For the "first time, the invite came with very specific instructions that it is private only and not to share the information," we were warned. For now, we are putting our chips on May 14 but will keep you posted if new information emerges.

The tale from Christian Louboutin is no different. We have confirmed with the company that the sale is scheduled to take place from May 12 to May 14. We were also assured that the invite-only policy will be "strictly enforced."

It's been a sole crushing day for shoe lovers.

False info floats around all the time. Lila is trying her best to give us sample sale alert.

Thanks Lila, appreciate your efforts helping people find some deals. For those who think you post wrong info on purpose- "go pay full price and shut up!"

Lila, thank you for the information about shoe sales!
MB team should implement limit on the sale like no more than 10 pairs per person to avoid instances when some women who bring man to the sale to buy boxes and boxes of shoes, for resale of course. And they should follow strict ticket rules to keep customers organized. Instead MB chose to play spy game "secret place", "secret invite",...really? That's just silly. By the way, customer who can purchase MB shoes at retail price at the store wouldn't stay 2-4 hours in line at sample sale to save few hundred $. That sample sale is for us girls who can't pay $600 for a pair of pumps but still appreciate MB brand and like fashion.

Thank you for all your comments and support. The premise of Mad-Spy was that everyone should be on an even playing field when your spending money.

I have less of a problem with the VIP sales than how the marketing/PR departments deal with the events.
