Moncler 40% Off

Every winter we receive dozens of email asking about scoring Moncler jackets and coats on sale. Truth be told there is a small window of time to capture the luxury puffer for a discount but you have to work fast.

Right now, Bergdorf Goodman has a small selection of basic Moncler puffers and more fashion forward Gemme Rouge styles. A basic-style with chevron stitching in purple or blue are $740 from $1240. A print Gemma Rouge with a funnel collar is $1100 from $1830 and a shiny diamond stitch style is $779 from $1295. There are also several styles of jackets and coats made of leather but that almost seems to defeat the purpose. You can see pics of all the aforementioned Monclers over here.

Chances are that there are some Monclers on sale at Barneys too but sales people are not likely to verify any information be phone. Remember, Moncler sale season is very short. If you don't score one now, you can always try the outlet at Woodbury Common.

Ralph Lauren Ricky's 50% Off

The discount at Ralph Lauren has taken another turn south. The discount is now up to 75% off and there are lots of items that aren't often on sale.

Over here is a basic black or brown small Ricky tote for $979 from $1950 and the large size is $1129 from $2250. Sexy over the knee boots are $474 from $1500 and a Blue Label cashmere shawl sweater is $219 from almost $1000.

You should take note that the new markdown just started today and this classic merchandise will not stick around for long. The final Ralph Lauren markdown is usually 80% but it's usually hard to find many items that are desirable.

You Must Be Kidding: Roger Vivier's $70k Bag

Last week we received the following email from a sales person from Roger Vivier:
"We just received ONE handbag today, and it requests special attention. It is a limited edition from our SS2015 (Rendez-Vous), the bag made very beautiful black and white color crocodile skin, with brick-color leather lining inside. Retail at $69,400. That’s correct, $69,400!!" exclaims a Roger Vivier sales person.
Even the sales person's explanation points and reiteration of the price suggest the ridiculousness of the product.

She continues, "The most expensive bag yet. We have at Roger Vivier, only one unit in the USA. The 2nd photo is a close-up of the skin front and back. The dimension is 12”H x 12.5”L x 5”W."
Hermes has proved that there is a market for handbags that sell for over $100,000. Finding a sucker to shell out $70k on this bag of questionable design is far less likely.  Vivier has no secondary-market track record on products at their price point.

Lets take a vote of hands: Who here would spend $75,559.25 (including New York sales tax) on this Roger Vivier purse? Next Question: Who would want the bag for 90% off?

Barney's Warehouse Has Discounts of 90%

Waiting on line for a sample sale is so 2010. That's especially true when it comes to the Barney's Warehouse sale. That is, unless you're shopping online. Saks Ends Consolidation Sale Tradition

Saks Fifth Avenue is quickly losing its leader board position as the department store with the best markdowns. As a matter of fact, its final sale return policy and strict 70% off make Saks the most expensive place to shop for quickly aging winter fashion.

On the bright side of things, the end of the Consolidation Sale means that there is no 9th floor discount bazaar. Anyone who loves fashion much agree that a high-end department store shouldn't transform itself into a bargain basement frenzy. One must respect the fashion.

Starting at the bottom, there is one stand of discounted handbags. The selection includes a small assortment from Jimmy Choo, Stella McCartney and a lone Alaia. The discount on bags is 60% off. A gold large Lanvin is $1516 from $3790, a Jimmy Choo messenger bag with studded stars is about $700 from $1895 and the Alia is $2444 from $6110.

Heading upstairs, all the discount fashion is located in proximity from their respective brands. The sale racks are in the center of the islands and the clouting is separated by brand. Right now, most all sale merchandise is discounted 60% with another 35% off, which brings the total savings to 70%. The merchandise is very similar to what is online but just a larger selection of styles and sizes. For example, there is this Stella McCartney print in pants, the dress, the top and more. A more ornate version dress from this collection is $566 from $1415. Among the Alexander McQueen selection there is this shirt dress that's $370 from $1235. A Derek Lam shearling coat in eggplant comes to about $2000 from $6795. You can head this way to see dozens of items and their prices. (Chanel clothing is frozen at 40%.)

Heading up to the 8th floor, SHOE-ZIP, the discount on the outgoing winter collection is 60%. Most of what's left are the less desirable options from top designers. Some of the highlights are high Valentino boots with a braid detail that come to $790 from $1975 and Saint Laurent red and black print pumps are $318 from $795. The biggest surprise is the large assortment of Alaia shoes. A black pair with raffia details are $684 from $1710. Pictures of those hotties and much more are right here.

We are told that the sale will end February 1 and there will not be any more markdowns. All sales are final and the store will not be accepting returns on final markdown merchandise. In some ways, we miss the old days where there were discounts of 80% to 90% off but we certainly don't miss the mess and the chaos of the consolidation sales of yesteryear.

Last Day of Fivestory's Bi-Annual Sale

Walking into the Fivestory bi-annual sale is a little like going to a rave in the South Bronx. The Bowery Hotel's basement location feels rather sketchy but there's certainly some appearances from top fashion brands.

Leonard $560 from $2570
Wednesday is the last day of the almost week-long sale and if you haven't taken a peek it may be worth your while. All of their merchandise is either 60% or 80% off, depending on the age of the collection. We just focused on the 80% off merchandise, considering that you can go to almost any store and save more than 60%.

There were many more racks at the start of the sale but today there were only two racks clothing for men, four for children and six with women's clothing. Granted, these racks were all packed but filled so tightly that it was hard to browse. After some tugging and pulling we found a Preen sweater print dress that comes to about $100 from $495, a Veronique Leroy sweater jacket is about $600 from $2180 and a Versace dress is approximately $540 from $2725.

There is still a rather diverse selection of Peter Pilotto dresses that debuted alongside his Target collection. They range in price from $400 to $600 from retail values of $2000 to above $3k. There are also several lovely print pieces from Leonard, which are priced similarly to the Pilotto items. (Both collections were clearly way overpriced to begin with.)

Among the 80% off shoe selection we found Chrissie Morris stingray sandals that come to under $200 from $915, Tania Spinelli booties are about $150 from $765 and Sergio Rossi peep-toe wedges are about $100 from $545. The sale also includes an assortment of jewelry and accessories for 80% off. An Aurelie Biderman bracelet is $130-ish from $660. There are also a few pieces from Dannijo and Alexandra Dodds.

We don't expect you will go home with a huge haul from the Bowery basement sale but you might be able to find a special something. You can click here to see more highlights from our shopping trip.

15 Spring Items Already Selling Out

The New Year just started and the hottest pieces of the new collections are already selling out. Of course, some shoppers want to be on top of the game but we still can't believe how quickly fashion can fly.

Some say that editors have all the power but it's the consumer that always has the final say. This season, Tony the Tiger is the biggest fashion statement you can't get. Anya Hindmarch's is almost completely sold out everywhere. The only place we could find the Frosties Maxi bag is on the Anya site, which delivers to the US. When it comes to fashion, Miu Miu's crochet tops ($1490) and dresses ($1355) are sold out everywhere online but are still available in boutiques and department stores.

As far of collections go, shoe and handbag departments all over the country are being swamped with requests for products from Valentino's 1973 rainbow collection. There is just one Rockstud micro shopper ($2175) left on Neiman Marcus and many sizes of Rockstud slingbacks ($1195) are sold out on Saks. On the more affordable scale, Alexa Chung's collection for AG denim has been as hot as a July day. The hottest item is likely the Pixie dress ($455), which is practically sold out everywhere.

If you're the type that already sold your Celine bag for more than you paid, then you're going to want to jump on Loewe and Delvaux. Both bags are gaining huge momentum among fashion insiders.
This python Loewe Flaminco ($3950) is completely sold out.

Today, we are focusing on where what the shopper are saying with their wallets. In order to compile this list of 'sold out' items we spoke high end retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, Hirshleifers, Net-A-Porter and many more. Afterwards, we searched through dozens of online luxury stores. We suggest you snatch up anything on this list as nothing begets demand like the lack of supply.

Anya Hindmarch Frosties leather tote ($2295)
Miu Miu cashmere crochet dress ($1355)
Rosantica arm cuff ($665)
Valentino 1973 Rockstud slingbacks ($1195)
Valentino 1973 Rockstud Mirco Shopper ($2175)
Alexa Chung for AG pixie dress ($455)
Alexa Chung for AG cropped jeans ($325)

Loewe Pyton Flaminco bag ($3950)

Bergdorf Goodman Online Blowout & Beauty Bonus

It's now or never if you're looking to catch the last of this season's deals. Right now, Bergdorf Goodman is offering an extra 25% off merchandise that has already been marked down 75%. That brings the total savings to over 80%.

Head this way and you'll find a Derek Lam sleeveless dress that's reduced to $335 from $1790, Tom Ford high boots come to $750 from $2000, a Mary Katrantzou dress is $285 from $1520 and a Pucci shift dress is $325 from $1725. Among the contemporary designers we found an Alice and Olivia dress reduced to $150 from almost $600, a Halston Heritage jacket is $73 from about $400 and black and white check Rag & Bone jeans are $50 from $265.

If you have kids you have to check out the Moncler sale selection. The discount is just a straight 30% but there are some good options from which to choose. Here is a basic black for $416 from $600 and a baby puffer for $427 from $610.

The sale continues until Tuesday at 9am. After that, it's probably time to start lusting after full price spring fashions.

Almost as noteworthy, that the lavender lady is also hosting a beauty event. Some of our beauty obsessions include, anything Tom Ford (of course), the Sisley- Paris Black Rose Precious Face Oil (to fight winter dryness) and Bakel's EFABody bomb, which is a great way to stop winter dry-skin itchiness. DVF Final Markdown Offers Sample Sale Prices

We can't deny that we've horribly missed the Diane von Furstenberg sample sale thus season. Of course, a substitute will do -- if the price is right. Unfortunately, there are no upcoming dates to announce but Diane Von Firstenberg is hosting an online sale and prices aren't far off from the iconic sample sale.

Through the end of Monday, shoppers can use the code JAN20 and save an extra 20% off already reduced merchandise. The prices at the sample sale would run $150 for classic wrap dresses, $125 for non-wrap dresses and $80 for sweaters. If you head this way, and use the extra 20% off, you can pay just $110 for this solid color wrap dress. A simple black knit dress, comes to just $80. The price of this super simple and clean cotton wrap shirt dress is $160.

At past sample sales the bags and accessories were a huge hit but they were still very pricey. Bags were priced at $285, clutches were $100 and scarves were $75. Online now, you can snag this snakeskin clutch for $115 and a snake-skin cross body bag for $140.

The best part of this sale is that there are no lines, no crowded fitting rooms and purchases are returnable. Unfortunately, we don't usually come across sample sales with the same consumer friendly rules. Like sample sales, the super sale merchandise is final sale.

Century 21 Has Lanvin, Prada and Cucinelli for 95% Off

If you think the deals from the Bergdorf Goodman shopping trip were good, then you are going to need to heed our advice. First, open your calendar, find a window of about four hours and block it off for a trip to Century 21's downtown flagship. Okay, you may not need four hours but there's no way you will want to feel rushed once you get into the thick of things.

Pucci $288
Right now, Century has reduced a large assortment of merchandise an extra 75% off. Not 75% off retail but 75% off Century's prices, which brings the discount to 90% off on many items. Among the outerwear is a pony hair Pucci moto-style jacket that is reduced to just $288 from an original retail price of $4280, a Lanvin puffer is $288 from $3616 and a Brunello Cucinelli jacket is $373 from $3920. We even found a long black Hermes coat for $2295 from who-knows-what. Click here to see pics.

Most of the discounts are 50% off the most reduced price but after you get a taste of 75%, anything less seems like overpaying. To find the most reduced clothing you will have to head to the far back left hand quarter where there are several racks labeled 75% off. Most of the racks say medium but all the sizes are really mixed in.

Among the clothing racks we found an Antonio Berardi dress for $150 from $1750, a Prada shift dress for $273, a Brunello Cucinelli dress for $160 from $1790, a Stella McCartney top was $82 and a classic ruffled Lanvin dress is $244. There is also an assortment of items of finely made clothing from lesser known designers like Bibhu Mohapatra and Chalayan Black. Both designers retail dresses for over $2000 and but the prices are now reduced to about $160.

The biggest problem with shopping these discounts is not to overbuy. The temptation is hard but nobody has the closet space for all of Century's reduced merchandise. Or perhaps, you do. Either way, we suggest you make this an immediate part of your end-of-season shopping.

Sample Sale Prices at Bergdorf Goodman (30+ Pics)

The general consensus when shopping this late in the season is that you will only find the rejects left over. We challenge any fashion lover to shop Bergdorf Goodman's final markdown and leave empty handed. Right now, the markdown is 50% off shoes and handbags and up to 75% off on clothing.

In the first floor, handbag atrium, there is only one table of discounted handbags. Even though there isn't a lot of selection, the options that are left are not horrible. Some might even say they're good. A PS11 is about $1000 from $1990, a Tom Ford calf hair Alix is $1870 from $3740 and a Stella McCartney rope embellished clutch is $759 from $1520. A full assortment of pictures can be seen here.

The discount on shoes is still just 50% off, where the discount at Barneys is 60%. The difference is that Bergdorf Goodman has a lot more classic wearable shoes. As a matter of fact a bulk of the inventory is Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik. Among the Louboutins is a mid-high pump with PVC around the parameter for $350 from $695 and the flat version is $319 from $595. (These are almost sample sale prices.) Cabochon embellished extra high Loubs are $700 from about $1400 and a studded version with patent detailing and bows are $650 from $1295. Broadening out from the red soles, we found our favorite Givenchy shark bit riding boots for $729 from $1450, Valentino Rockstud pony hair booties are $1719 from $2295 and Chanel quilted low moto boots are $709 from $1425. Check out pics of everything mentioned here.

Be prepared to make tough choices once you direct yourself towards the fashion because nobody can have it all. The selection ranges from quality basics to refined statement pieces. Falling into the more demure category is this Giambasttista Valli  classic gray cashmere dress is $790 from almost $2000, Celine black slacks are $619 from $1550 and a Balenciaga tulip skirt is $379 from $1535. Some of the more incredible fashion pieces include a heavy winter weight Alaia dress that's $1400-ish from $5565, heavy weight Givenchy pants with zipper details are $839, a Mary Katrantzou asymmetrical dress is $1600 from $6400 and a Prada coat comprised of pieties and trimmed with mohair is $849 from $3200. (Here are pics.)

Some contemporary merchandise is 75% off but the majority is discounted 60%. After coming from the premier fineries it's hard to settle your tastebuds on lesser reduced fashion. Among the selection is a lot more trendy and comprised of designers like Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, DVF and M Missoni.

There isn't much merchandise online but with a little bit of sorting you can find a few winners. A lot of the bags are priced higher online but if you call the 800-number, a representative will connect with the store and make a price adjustment. Now, look through the rest of the pictures here and call for  your car, NOW!

Net-A-Porter Final Clearance Extra 20%

This is what end of season shoppers call the final bow. As usual, Net-A-Porter is ending the season with an extra 20% off some sale merchandise. The additional discount brings the total markdown to over 80% on some items.

Use the code 20SALE at checkout. Take note, the additional discount CAN'T be used on items already labeled final markdown. Some applicable highlights include a Victoria Beckham dress for about $700 from $3000, a Fendi skirt that's $425 from $1700 and a Lanvin print jumpsuit is about $900 from nearly $4000.

This sale usually lasts only two days. We suggest you snatch up what you can because the next time you see this selection it will be priced higher on the Outnet.

Where to Buy Fashionable Athletic Clothing

Chances are that if you made a new years resolution it was to work out more or lose weight. Even if you made a deal with yourself to be more lazy in 2015, you may need a bit of motivation to make it through month one. We find the best motivation is always fashion. It's a wonder how much a new sports bra (or lounge pants) can motivate you to continue to accomplish your fitness goal.

Below is some of the best deals on the hottest athletic clothing:

Stella McCartney
Adidas isn't one of the most sought out brands by fashion insiders but once you slap on a Stella McCartney a Class Pass becomes irresistible. The most obvious place to shop for the designer altheltic line is Adidas, of course. Even though there is a great selection, the prices seem to be the highest.

If you want to grab a few deals on the outgoing season of Stella McCartney x Adidas, you're going to have to hop around to a few sites and grab the odds and ends. For example, Net-A-Porter has this print running tank for 50% off $95. The matching running pants are on Kirna Zabete for $63 from $90. Over on the international site, MyTheresa, you will find a good selection of Stella gym fineries discounted between 30% to 40%. Be sure to also check out the designer's own site. Some items are priced well, while other pieces can be found for less on other sites.

Lululemon
It's not what it used to be but neither is Equinox. The brand is famous for not having sales but we've noticed more merchandise on the markdown racks than ever. Online shoppers will need to head to the 'We Made too Much' section, which is a euphemism for 'if we reduce it by a dollar will you buy it?' This zippy pullover is $69 from $128, these Skinny Groove pants are $69 from $98 and a basic sports bra is $39 from $52.

Athleta
Gap's Athleta may not yet be the go-to for mainstream athletic clothing but the collections are growing stronger every season--minus those strange skirt legging combos. The best part is that they have a healthy sale section. Right now, many items are reduced 40% to 50% off. After Christmas there was an additional 20% off promo but it's not currently available. Keep your eyes open. For now, you can find these cross runner tights, which are also really soft, for $60 for $79, a puffer bomber jacket is $65 from $78 and here is a hooded zippy for $42 from $98.

Target C9
It comes a time when you're shopping that you say-- this is totally fine. And guess what? Target's C9, Champion collection, is perfectly acceptable--for everything from Soul Cycle to Blink. The best part is that right now there is a promotion on the athletic collection. These capri leggings are $21 from $35, this fleece jacket is $21 from $30 and here's a tank for $19 from $27.

Hervé Léger 70% Off

The Hervé Léger boutique, on Madison Avenue, has started the bi-annual clearance sale where winter clothing, shoes and accessories are reduced up to 70% off. The sale is also online and the selection is actually very good.

Inside, you will find a v-neck color blocked signature style bondage dress for $387 from $1290, a higher neck yellow and red color blocked dress for $335 from $1340 and a green a-line skirt is $340 from $1150. Newer styles are less reduced but a bit more on-trend. This scalloped neck, white a-line is $676 from $1690 and this more daytime windowpane color blocked dress is $716 from $1790.

The dresses are always the highlight of an Hervé Léger sale but classic-style pumps for under $200 are a no-brainer. The belts are also quite amazing, although they are a pricey. Be warned, sizes do tend to sell out quickly. This is one of those sales that you don't want to wait too long.

Chanel Is Now 60% Off

Chanel always says that they do not discount bags and we have always been able to call their bluff. This season, however, Chanel has succeeded in strong-arming Neiman Marcus into not putting any bags on sale. Now, the only place you can find a discounted Chanel bag is Saks Fifth Avenue.

Saks NYC
The discount on Chanel bags at Saks is 40% but we really couldn't find a style worth highlighting. The best among the sale merchandise is a small lumpy sequined bag.

Saks just started a second markdown on shoes today, bringing the discount to 60%. Most of what's left are boots. A pair of low cowboy-style boots come to $660 and tall leather riding boot are just $690.  You can see a selection of the sale boots in the jump pictures. Remember, Saks no longer takes returns on markdowns this late in the season. So be careful with your purchases.

Heading over to Neiman Marcus -- even if they don't have sale bags -- you can still find jewelry and shoes for 55% to 60% off. A pair of pearl drop earrings are now priced at $236 and a pearl bracelet with interlocking Cs is $281. Photos in the jump.

Chanel doesn't sell any fashion merchandise online. If you're interested in any of these items you will have to call the individual stores. If you have a great Chanel tip, email us here, so that we can share the good fortune.

Nordstrom's Final Markdown

It's amazing how many times you can shop the same store and still find new items to grab your attention. This is especially true after additional markdowns. Right now, Nordstrom took their final price cut and designer clothing is priced up to 65% off.

A Saint Laurent sheer blouse with over sized red dots is now $765 from $2250, an embroidered Alexander Wang shift dress is $757 from $1895 and a Markus Lupfer fish sweater is $155 from $390. Most shoes are still 40% off but there are still some better deals. Saint Laurent slip-on sneakers are $200 from $600 and Jason Wu pumps with a buckle are $302 from $890.

Louboutin fans should take note that Nordstrom just started carrying the red sole favorites. Hopefully, next season, the store will be able to offer customers red hot discounts.

Ralph Lauren Now 70% Off

Ralph Lauren started their winter clearance today and merchandise is now reduced up to 70%. This isn't the biggest discount for the Americana-designer but it is the time of year where you can find the best sale selection for the greatest discount.

A Black Label cashmere cardigan comes to $350 from $1195. Mind you, Ralph Lauren's high end cashmere lasts forever. A Marguerite dress from the runway collection is about $1000 from $3700 and select colors of women's polos are $17 from $90. For men, a ribbed sweater with elbow patches is about $50 from $125 and a solid color tie from the Purple Label is $77 from $215.

In most cases, the Ralph Lauren boutique will match the online prices but you will need to wait for a manager's authorization. In this instance it might just be easier to shop online.

You should take note that the new markdown just started today and merchandise is selling rather quickly. We suggest not procrastinating on checkout. We had items sell out as they were in our shopping cart. And it's always ironic how much more you "need" an item once you can't have it.

Complete Fashion Credits From Taylor Swift's Blank Space

Taylor Swift has undoubtedly shaken things up. From her dancing to her side bangs -- the girl is on a roll. In addition to Taylor's crossover into pop, her style choices are getting the attention of mainstream fashion.

In Taylor's most recent video, Blank Space, the singer changes outfits more than 20 times. Each gown, dress and earring is more spectacular than the next. We couldn't help but want to emulate the same wardrobe and set out to find all of the fashion credits from the video.

With the help of 'Mia Rose' we were able to piece together a fashion play-by-play of everything worn by Taylor Swift in her Blank Space video. Most of the fashion is from spring 2014 and already out of stores but we attempted to include links to items that are still available or close to what the designer previously created.

Here's you're how-to guide on how to dress like a daydream -- even if you're a nightmare:

Snooping Through Barneys Sale, 35+ Pics

Most New Yorkers are finally back from holiday and on the top of most every fashion-lovers to-do list is to check out the sales. We scoured the sale racks at Barneys today and were delighted to see how much inventory was still available. As a matter of fact, there is certainly something for everyone.

The discount on the very small amount of left over bags and small leather goods is 40%. We found a PS1 in light blue suede, two Marni fringe totes and accessories, Balenciaga iPhone sleeves and a few Chloe accessories and bags. Head this way to see pictures of the first floor sale selection.

Almost all clothing is now 60% and there is a great selection from which to choose. If you're a fan of Balenciaga, you'll be especially pleased. During our shopping hunt, we found two classic Balanciaga moto jackets. One is soft blue and the other is a light shell pink. Both come to just over $1000 from $2650. A black and white body-con knit dress comes to about $500 from $1155 and a sweater with mesh overlay is is $529. All the aforementioned items are right here for your drooling pleasure.

Take note, that the in-store selection is a lot better than what you will find online. While browsing the second through fifth floors we found basic Prada knits that are in the $300 range, a zebra pint Balmain knit that's $349, a Derek Lam color block dress is $799 from almost $2000, a Lanvin pleated dress for about $2000 from more than $5000 and a Bottega Veneta coat is $1400 from $3500. Among the Givenchy sale merchandise is a sweatshirt for $399 and an elaborate tapestry moto jacket for $910 from $2200.

The shoe assortment isn't any less impressive. All shoes are 60% off. Chanel is the only exception and is 40% off. Among the selection there are Louboutin high boots with grommets that are $1399 from $3500, Chanel thigh high boots with a pearl lined heel for $1949 from $3250, classic Alaia booties for $1339 from $3340, more classic Chanel pumps for $619 from $1025 and Fendi slingback sandals for $339 from $850. (See. Pics. Here.)

As we've been saying for some time, the shoes at Barneys are discounted more than most any other local department store. You can find some local stores with discounts topping 70% but the cross section of Barneys make this a must-shop.

It's a Great Time to Buy Outerwear

It's no secret that most designer fashion is highly reduced but you may have had a more difficult time finding a good discount on the perfect puffer or ski jacket. Until now, that is. Most stores reserve discounts on popular outerwear until after New Years, which would make this moment the best time to pounce on the most desirable puffers and coats.

It's nearly impossible to find discounts on Moncler if you're shopping online but department stores and boutiques usually discount the popular uber-luxe puffers. You can usually find the best sale selection at Barneys and J. McLaughlin, which has men's and women's stores on Madison and Lexington. Discount can range from 20% to 50% off.

Saks is a great place to go if you're looking for a large range of outerwear, from down jackets to more elaborate luxury coats. For example, a Belstaff parka is $930 from $1530 and an ADD Down fur trim puffer is $434 from $620. We also found a selection of newcomer SAM with a down jacket priced $206 from $295 and higher up the designer latter is an Alexander Wang shearling collared puffer jacket $858 from $2195.

Nordstrom also has a good variety of discounts ranging from high-end designers to more contemporary brands. A Marni oversized coat is $1300 from $3250 and Guess outerwear is 33% to 40% off, with prices starting at just $100.

For coats, the discount is much better at Bergdorf Goodman than Neiman Marcus. For examples, both a Marni Beaver and floral print coat ($1215 from $3040) Stella McCartney embroidered face coat ($1731 from $4330) are still thousands more if you overlook the Lavender lady.

European sites, like Stylebop, are also a great place to look for casual and more formal jackets and coats. A delicate light blue embroidered Peter Pilotto coat is priced 70% off, $3142 from $10,478 and an Etro color block coat is half-off, or $1755 from $2350. Duvetica jackets and coats are 30% to 40% off and an APC parka is 50% off. Farfetch has some Canada Goose jackets, vets and coats that are 30% off.

Over at Net-a-Porter, it's the same situation with more fancy coats discounted the highest. A multi-color Thakoon padded outer coat is 70% off and a more traditional Sacai puffer is 40% off. Even Moda Operandi has a range of discount options like, this MSGM nylon parka that's $595 from $1190 to a Aquilando Rimoni embroidered wool coat that's $2490 from $5290.

If you're shopping in stores, keep your eyes out for returns.  We've heard of Prada puffer finds more than a few times. Now, that is a score.
