Charlotte Olympia Sample Sale Great Prices!!

Usually, we are very cautious when shopping sample sales. There are just too many shopping days in the year to justify big purchases. Today, was a exception. The Charlotte Olympia sale offers pricing so good that it's even worth fighting the UN traffic to get to midtown.

We all love Charlotte Olympia for her quirky shoes, but if you're going to want to head directly to the bag section. The designer's clear box clutches usually retail for between $1200 and $1600 but are priced starting at just $150. Smaller clutches or pouches were only $100 from over $700. There are also lots of cute little accessories and pouches that are priced between $50 and $100.

Moving on to the shoes, most styles are priced at just $150. That includes Kitty Flats, Dolly platforms and several style ornate shoes. Shoe styles that are much more popular are priced at $200 but we don't see many priced even that high.

A lot of the same items we saw are also listed at Saks Off 5th. Like this wallet at the sale is just $50. The prices aren't as good but perhaps you can experience a bit of the thrill while shopping from afar. Pictures from the sale are posted in the jump. We suggest you hurry over fast because we are sure there will be nothing left by the time the sale closes at at 7pm on Wednesday.

Saks Gift Card Promotion Starts Now

It's officially gift card season. Various department stores are offering gift card incentives to customers who purchase full price merchandise. This is a great opportunity to get an extra sweet gift card on an item we were going to buy anyway. While we are at it, why not seek out the best gift card.

Last week Barneys started their promotion, where customers can earn $25 gift cards for every $250 you spend. (You can see more details about the Barneys deal over here.) Saks Fifth Avenue has an even sweeter deal, where you can earn $35 in credits for every $250 you spend. Use the code SEPT2017 to engage the promotion.

Some Saks highlights include those Saint Laurent Niki boots in the short version, which are 'just' $2900. (A steal when compared to the OTK version that's 10-grand.) A suede version is $1200. This Michael Kors boot has a similar heel and is priced at $800.

Among the most popular handbags this season, we are a bit confused by Gucci's Totem. Is wearing one bag at a time so boring that you need to stack them down to your ankles. See here. Among other bags we don't understand this season, is the Fendi logo bag. The new logo looks like a bad Canal Street logo mistake. We absolutely love Prada's velvet bags but $2700 -- it's just priced too high.

The gift card promotion is live online and is available in stores on Wednesday and Thursday. The gift cards are only valid until the end of October, so you might want to scope out how to use them even before you make your purchase. There are more designer exclusions at Saks, which can make the Barneys deal better. Just read the fine print before making any final purchases.

Barneys Gift Card Promotion

Not sure what to do this weekend? We suggest you head to Barneys.

Through Sunday, Barneys shoppers can earn a $25 gift card for every $250 you spend. Purchases over $1000 will get you even more. Click on the Barneys image to see a blow-up of the breakdowns. Accrued gift cards are redeemable for merchandise from September 20 through October 24.

The only exclusions are Louboutin shoes (handbags are included in the promo), Chanel and Celine. That leaves lots of the prime fall fashion from which to choose (or shoes.) Gucci, Alia and Valentino are included in the promotion. We would suggest going for Saint Laurent Niki boots (not the sparkle ones), the Loewe Puzzle bag (in red to show off the great lines), a new pair of Gucci loafers (last year's look wore out already),  an Ienki Ienki puffer  or Balenciaga's pointy toe kitten heels (almost sold out).

The Purple Card promotion is available at Barneys stores nationwide, on the website and at BarneysWarehouse. (Winter clothing is an extra 25% off at the online outlet store!)

Be warned, however, Barneys will most likely not extend the dates if the cards aren't used during the specified window of time. So be sure to enjoy your meal at Freds and go back next week to use those gift cards!

Charlotte Olympia Sample Sale Will Be Great!

Usually, we are very cautious when posting about sample sales. There are just too many shopping days in the year to justify big purchases and out-of-the-way destinations. Next week may prove to be a huge exception. The two-day Charlotte Olympia kicks off on Tuesday morning and we are told it will be even better than last year.

The sale will include shoes from this past Summer and include the Let's Go Bananas collection, the Secret Garden collection from cruise '17 and lots of kitties and encore styles. Prices will start at just $50 and cap off at $300 on most items. At the last sale, most style shoes were just $100 and we expect this sale to be just as good. You can click here to see what we found at last year's sale.

You can take a peak at some of the styles we expect to be in the sale over here in the jump.

Fashion Week Trends: Candy Stripes

Fashion week is heating up. We are serving up all the smoking hot trends while we get through a marathon of shows. These top trends are what you can expect to see on the street and in the pages of your favorite fashion magazines next Spring.

Stripes were a big part of the runways last year and will be making a repeat performance. Designers took the east-west lines out of the basic black-and-white territory and injected lots of sorbet colors. Jason Wu was one of the early designers in this week's lineup. He showed candy colored stripes going in all directions and matched them with a solid separate. Tory Burch took her runway outside and showed stripes of various sizes and colors. Monse littered the collection with stripes with enough patriotic red-white-and-blue to lead a Forth-of-July parade.

NYFW: 10% Off at Net-A-Porter

It's day four of New York Fashion Week and even top stylists start running out of outfit ideas. (That's especially if the outfits are coming out of their own closets.) Net-A-Porter knows the struggle and is offering 10% off almost everything on its site.

πŸ“Έ credit: Cameron Tewson, Front Row Edit

Use the code SHOP10 to active the discount, which was only given to top VIP shoppers.

This season, we are noticing a lot of the top fashion girls opting for alternative luxury brand bags. In place of the obvious designer labels, opt for off the radar options like The Volon's mini cube, Simon Miller's mini bucket bag and Loewe's Puzzle bag.

Among footwear we are still seeing a lot of Adidas (boring). There are also lots of interesting shaped mules and boots. We love Malone Souliers suede mules, Off-White's 'For Walking' over-the-knee boots.

If you're looking for more than an accessory, then you need something long and dramatic. Perhaps something like this Rixo printed print wrap dress worn as a duster or dramatic ruffle and tie tops like this one from Rosie Assouline.

If the Net's discount still doesn't fit into your budget, we suggest you register a new email account with TheOutnet and save 20% as a new customer.

NYFW Prep: Designer Sample Sale

New York Fashion Week is officially upon us. If you haven't had time to get your wardrobe paparazzi ready-- you're not alone. We were in such a closet rut on Wednesday night that we attempted to style a night robe as a dress. Fashion week can be so much stress if you don't now how to dress.

We know just the answer for amazing designer fashion for incredibly discounted prices. Starting Monday, Global Fashions will be hosting a multi-brand sale. There will be a spectacular assortment of designer clothing for men and women, which will include M Missoni, Marchesa, Moschino, Red Valentino and more. Discounts will be 80% off clothing. Shoes and bags-- ranging from top selling classics to iconic seasonal pieces-- will be 70% off retail. You can click here to see some pictures.

At the last sale, some shoppers requested more Rockstud merchandise and Global Fashions listened. We got a little preview of the sale and saw some spectacular items including a croc Rockstud tote and assorted color combination shoes. There are even plenty of flats in an assortment of sizes. The best part is that even the most expensive items are affordable when the discounts exceed 70%.

The sale will only run for four days. Every purchase will come with a gift of an iPhone case, iPad case or silk scarf. If you attended the last sale, you know how quickly the best merchandise was gone. Don't say we didn't warn you!

Nordstrom End of Summer Sale

You might be sad that Summer is over but Nordstrom is hosting a sale that will give you a way to shop yourself some happiness. A sort through the sale section turned up some interesting finds.

Among the items the reduced 60% is this denim and patchwork Marc Jacobs tote that's $666 from $999, a Lela Rose fit and flare dress that's $450 from $1100 and Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots are $450 from $800.

Beyond the sale section, it's definitely worth your time to take a browse through the more cutting edge designer merchandise that Nordstrom has grouped as 'Space - a shop for emerging and advanced designers'. Check out this print puffer from Hyein Sao, this bell sleeve top from Tejina Pyo and this Roksanda bow sleeve dress. What's an emerging designer collection without an assortment from Vetements? Yes, there's a full selection.

Beyond the Vetements, there is truly a lot to keep your eyes on. For now, we are happy with our sale finds. Take note, the sale ends September 10.

The IT-It: Millennial Yellow

Summer is unofficially over but that doesn't mean sunshine days are done. This season, you can expect to see bright shades of yellow overtaking the ubiquitous pinkalicious that's been dominating fashion for several seasons.

The pink spectrum ranged from bright bubble gum to subtle blush. Yellow is also available in assorted variations too. Shades include La-La Land yellow, banana yellow, marigold, butter cream and goes as far as chartreuse.

The optimism of Yellow is especially welcomed in contrast to the usual somber autumnal color palate. Adding zest to your wardrobe is especially easy at Nordstrom, where you can find a great selection of this season's hottest color. Right this way, is a sunflower yellow Topshop lattice back sweater ($65), mustard yellow Gucci Brixton loafers $630 and here is a dainty Monique Lhuillier garden dress set on a mellow yellow background ($2600). If you don't have a waterproof raincoat here is a great one in, yes, raincoat yellow.

Yellow doesn't need to be the outfit headliner. It makes a great supporting color. For instance, this Dries black and white dress comes alive with splashes of bright yellow. This Toga check wool coat has just a hint of yellow but it livens the entire look ($1780). This JW Anderson cable knit sweater ($830) comes alive with the various yellow backgrounds.

As always, online shoppers should take advantage of Nordstrom's great customer service, which features free shipping and free returns. If only all stores were as easy to shop as Nordstrom.

The IT-Not: 3 of the Most Tired Trends

Labor Day is done and it's back to business. Back to school means a new shopping season. Before you start buying your Fall wardrobe we wanted to take a moment to review the top trends that are becoming as annoying as Despacito.

Below is a list of three fashion trends that have exceeded their expiration date. Not all of these fashions are a faux pas but you might want to make some modifications to the core fad before making any substantial investment.

Ruffles

Broad ruffled tops and dresses have become so big that it's tempting to flick people in the face with their own flounce. The trend was cute when it was first seen on the runway but now it's become a girl-uniform.

We suggest going against the tide and cutting all ties with ruffles. Go minimalistic. Opt for well tailored. Stand like a lady and set yourself apart from the girls.

Cargo Jackets with Colored Fur

Hearts skipped a beat when brightly colored fur combined with a military issue cargo jackets hit our photo stream. The twist of novelty and utility was unbelievably attractive. It was only a few short months until those $5000 fur jackets were tweaked into mini-kid versions. The trend went full on cheese-wiz, almost as quickly as it started. It's time to park that parka!

This season, forget about the military combo and opt for an oversized bright fur. We especially love the versions from DVF, Prada and here is one from Asos for just $174.

Sweatpants

We still can't figure out how this trend started. Maybe it was leggings backlash? Perhaps it was conspiracy by the athleisure market?

We'll never really know but can confidently say, it should never have happened. Sweatpants should be avoided by anyone outside of her teens.

Remember, if a Kardashians does it. You shouldn't!

Pre-Labor Day Sales

There are only a few more rays of sunshine left until the unofficial end of Summer uses her claw-like fingers to throw us back into reality. Lucky for us, there are still a few days to catch up on those things we've been meaning to do and buy all Summer.

As a personal rule, I like to try and fill in the items that I'll need for next summer (or vacation) right now, while the prices are low and the discounts are high. The best part is that I am really in touch with what's missing from and needed for my wardrobe. By the time Summer '16 rolls around I will be secure in knowing that I have everything I need and won't feel guilty for indulging in a few new trends and impulse purchases.

Below is a list of some of the most noteworthy pre-labor day sales. Keep checking back as more promotions are added to the list:

Alessi's Annual Summer Sale

Sometimes we get a bit obsessed with clothing and accessories. We don't, however, live in a cardboard box. On occasion. we need to take the time to nourish our surroundings with beautiful and inspiring design. Alessi's designs are the perfect intersection between whimsy and functionality.

Until September 4, both Manhattan's Alessi stores are moving out overstock, discontinued items and floor samples at up to 70% off. The online sale has discounts up to 60% off. The last time we attended the sale we came home with a huge haul that included an a tempo citrus basket for $20 from %50, the Philippe Starck Joe Cactus ashtray was $30 from $90 and a Michael Graves water pitcher for $90 from over $300.

Online there is a  Anna G corkscrew on sale $66 from $110. We love giving these "gals" as hostess gifts. It's always a great conversation piece. Popular tea kettles are not on sale. We suggest calling ahead if you have something specific in mind.

Travel: The Best Deal in the Caribbean

Summer is moving so fast that, some would say, it deserves a speeding ticket. It's hard not to get a bit sad as August turns to September and beach bags are swapped out for backpacks. For this reason, I always like to start planning getaways before I even come back from my current vacation.

One of my favorite places to travel with the family (or just a few girlfriends) is the Gansevoort in the Dominican Republic. I love that the flight is fast. JetBlue flies to Puerto Plata in just a bit over 3.5 hours, which means you can leave the Upper East side at 7am and have your feet in the sand and a cocktail in your hand by lunchtime. It's incredible.

I have a specially fondness for this Gansevoort because it's small, the pool is gorgeous and the food is delicious. The intimate size means you don't need to wait for a biggie to drive you out to the beach. As a matter of fact, the beach is your front yard-- if you take a ground floor, ocean front room. The hotel also offers many three and four bedroom suits, which are difficult to find at many properties in the Caribbean.

The best part is the prices are not astronomical. e might go as far as to call the Gansvoort Dominican Republic, the best deal in the Caribbean.

Lets take a closer look. A five-day stay, in mid-November, in a three bedroom suite is just $500-per-night (plus taxes and resort fees). Most Caribbean suits of this caliber and size (2200sq ft.) are priced at over $1000-a-night. Prices for Christmas and New Years are higher but they are still less than most of the big suits at other luxury properties.

Make no mistake, this is not a second tier hotel. The service is exceptional and the food is incredibly fresh. As a matter of fact, every afternoon you can witness a parade of fresh fish being carried directly from the ocean into the kitchen. It's no wonder why Gansvoort Dominican Republic has been voted by Travel + Leisure and CondΓ© Nast Traveler as a favorite beach escape.

Outside the property is Encuentro Beach, which boasts one of the world's best beaches to kitebaord. Along the beach, you'll also find lots of authentic Dominican shops and little restaurants, which don't feel overly touristy. It reminds us of Tulum -- when it was charming.

Needless to say, I'm sad Summer is over but I'm counting down the days until November. You can click here to see some personal pictures from the last time I traveled to Gansvoort Dominican Republic,

Almost Sold Out: Saint Laurent $10,000 Boots

We've seen plenty of fashion crazes over the years but this is the first time we've seen mass production of $10,000 boots that are practically sold out. If you have any type of social media account it would be hard to miss the slow-mo video's of Saint Laurent's crystal boots making their way down the runway. The way they catch the light is pretty specular.

We knew right away that they would be expensive. The $10,000 price tag was hardly surprising. It was only a matter of time until a designer  shoe hit the five-figure price tag. What's most surprising is that the boots are practically sold out.

Over at Saks Fifth Avenue there is only a size 36 available. At Barneys you can preorder a size 39. Net-A-Porter is completely sold out but you can put your name on the waiting list for when they are restocked. Fwrd has the biggest size range, with 37, 38 and 40s still available.

It's hard to believe anyone can rationalize $10,000 boots but they aren't the most absurd items we've seen for sale. It just seems like it would make more sense to buy a disco ball or a nice diamond-- for that matter.

The IT-It: Crushing on Crushed Velvet

It was only a year ago that we started falling in love with anything plush and velvety. It started with soft and luxurious pointy-toe heels and moved along to luscious velvet bags. The velvet variety of luxury is here for another round but this time we are crushing it.

Crushed velvet is a little less polished and formal than it's twin sister but has lots of layers and texture to add to your everyday ensemble. Checkout this vibrant blue draped crushed velvet top from Maison Margiela ($1865). We love the color and movement and it pairs so perfectly with wide leg pants. Oscar Tiye ($720) has these sensuous crushed velvet heels, which pair perfectly with cropped jeans. Right this way are... crushed velvet socks ($13). Imagine these worn with these Saint Laurent platform sandals. It would be insane!πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›

Just take note of a few styling tips. Nobody wants to look like a 90s reenactment. First, never, ever, ever wear crushed velvet leggings. It's a rule you can't break no matter how good it looks on so-and-so celebrity. Velvet dresses are heavy and hard to pull off. Crushed velvet dresses are almost alway a disaster. Lastly, if you wear one item of crushed velvet you should keep the rest of your outfit basic.

The IT-it: A Tweak to Tweed

As much as we hate to see Summer go, it's always smart to stay ahead of fashion's biggest trends. We are excited to bring on the browns, the layering sweaters, boots and tweed. Yes, tweed. It's not just for grannies any more.

As a matter of fact, tweed happens to look wonderful on women of most any age. Take this beautifully tailored tweed jacket from Alexander Wang. We love everything about it: the unfinished edges,  the leather accents and peplum waist. Over this way is a tweed asymmetrical jacket from Proenza Schouler that is anything but old and stayed. One might go as far as to call it avant-garde. I can practically smell fall just from looking at this cropped tweed jacket from Jason Wu.

Tweed is very tactile and it usually pairs together with other items that have texture. (You just have to be sure not to go overboard.) We would love to see blue tweeds matched with these crystal embellished pumps or something fuzzy and furry like this Fendi slides. (Too much? Nah!) You might want to even take it as far to pair your tweed with cousin plaid. We love these Lauren Lorraine plaid pumps that are just $98.

As always, online shoppers should take advantage of Nordstrom's great customer service, which features free shipping and free returns. If only all stores were as easy to shop as Nordstrom.

TheOutnet Extra 50% Off

Last month, we though TheOutnet was offering great discounts during their annual clearance event. little did we know that the site would slash prices even more. Right now, the online discount store  is offering an EXTRA 50% off already discounted merchandise.

We should warn you that you will need to spend some time digging and sorting. Surprisingly, there are lots of size ranges available, but remember, this is the clearance of the clearance. Below is a section of our top picks, from $100 Tibi dress to an $800 Valentino bag. The sale ends Thursday, August 24.

Farfetch Discounts Top 75% Off

Farfetch is known for bringing the world's most popular fashion boutiques, local and emerging designers and brands to a single website. It almost makes us sad that we can shop our favorite Italian boutiques right here in New York. Some might say it takes away the adventure but it's realistic to think that anyone can hop on a plane several times a year.

One of the other great things about Farfetch is that it makes markdowns available globally. Right now, the site is offering discounts of up to 75% off. We are told this is the last week to take advantage of these steep discounts.

Here's a Thomas Wylde top that's that's 75% off and comes to $172 from $685. Then there is this Delpozo dress that's $525 from $1750. Here's a Givenchy Rick Owens shirt dress that's $260 from $865.

Shoes and bags are on the pricey side and could be found for less in many other destinations. Another thing that we've noticed is that many American brands are more expensive when sold from foreign stores. We suppose that's what happens when you pay duty twice. Speaking of which, all prices include duty and returns are free for 14 days after your purchase is received.

Moda Operandi Final Markdown & Extra Discounts

Moda Operandi is ready to close out the last of its Summer inventory. Starting Wednesday, the online fashion boutique will begin it's final clearance sale and offer an extra 30% off. Use the code EXTRA30OFF to engage the extra savings.

When all the math is said and done, you can find many pieces discounted nearly 90% off the original price. Some of the highlights include, these adorable espadrilles that come to just $70, a Lenny Niemeyer strapless one-piece swimsuit is also just $70 and an embroidered skirt from Alexis is about $170. Some of the more extravagant items include, this Naeem Khan dress that's $700 from $3000, a Dice Kayek jeweled dress is $625 from $2625 and a Marni flower print maxi-dress $600 from $2900.

The four day sale will run through Saturday and then the sale merchandise will be removed from the site. We can assure you this is M'O's rock bottom markdown. It's not going to get any better than this. Fashion week is less than a month away and the site will begin to promote off-the-runway trunk shows.

Real Couture Finds at Wearhouse

The term couture may be more overused than the word literally. It 'literally' makes me cringe. There is nothing at H&M or Juicy Couture that resembles anything couture. Haute couture is truly the art of fashion. Every aspect of the garment is created by hand. Many of these garments are commissioned directly with the fashion house and cost upwards of $100,000.

For this reason, we were truly shocked to stumble upon Valentino couture tucked away in the tiny suburb of Long Island. Wearhouse is a massive retail space that is essentially an designer outlet with all the furnishings of a high-end boutique. There are helpful sales people and even a tailor on premises.

Starting Sunday, Wearhouse is hosting an end-of-season clearance sale where Valentino couture will be discounted 80% off. The multi-brand luxury discount store also includes a variety of other gorgeous items from Missoni, Chloe, Marchesa and Naeem Khan that will be reduced 70% from retail. Accessories, bags and shoes from Anya Hindmarch, Stuart Weitzman and Piazza Sempione will also be discounted 70%.

If you're driving back to there city from the Hamptons, this is the perfect pit stop. Couture can make you forget even the worst traffic.

The IT-It: August Vacation Packing List

There is nothing we don't love about Summer. Even 100-degree weather can't get us down. (Not that hot weather has been too much of a problem this season.) Our favorite part of Summer is Agusut vacations. Before checking out it's always nice to pick up some fun pieces of fashion regardless of where you plan to unwind.

From basking in the infinity pool of Hotel du Cap, dancing on tables in Mykonos or just slipping into flip-flops for long beach days, Nordstrom has some great pieces to make the end of the season a bit more fun. We absolutely love these limited edition 'Happy' earrings from Ashley Williams ($158), denim shorts from Vejas ($475) are much more than you're average jean shorts and these Jacquemus slides ($355) are easy but anything absolutely not basic.

Not everything you pack needs to be haute. Here is a ruffle shift dress ($89) that is perfect to throw on to eat brackfast, after the beach or for a walk into town. Here is a white gauzy maxi dress ($55) that will look go perfectly when paired against Mediterranean blue waters and you can never go wrong with an itty-bitty bikiniπŸ‘™  ($36).

Nordstrom is always the perfect destination to shop trends and everything you need for Summer. The store has all the most cutting edge designer pieces and inexpensive options too. The best part is Nordstrom's first-rate customer service, which includes free shipping both ways.

The It-It: The Return of the Pointy Toe

It never fails. As soon as I throw my arms up and give an item away it comes back into style with a vengeance. Only last season, I sold a haul of pointy toe shoes. There were jeweled Prada kitten heels, eccentric Maud Frizon printed heels and old Giuseppe Zanotti sky-high heels. All had exaggerated pointy toes that I thought were unwearable.

In a matter of months, pointy toe heels are back with a vengeance. Some of our favorites include Balenciaga's pointed slides, Celine's pointed toe pumps, Prada's satin kitten heels with faux pearls and Gucci's cherry heels. These Stella McCartney checkered pumps are even on sale and are quite the steal for just $300 from nearly $1200.

It's hard to choose which pair to choose for Fall. It even hurts more to know that I had so many unique styles sitting in my closet for so many years. Too bad that there isn't a closet that expands over time so that we can keep everything we have ever loved.

Neiman Marcus Discounts Hit 90% Off

Neiman Marcus clearly wants to eliminate all traces of Summer and is clearing out the last of seasonal merchandise with a big extra discount. Right now you can save an extra 35% off if you buy three or more sale items. We all know that means, you might have to buy a few extra items but it will  pay off big.

When all the math is said and done, you can find many pieces discounted nearly 90% off the original price. Here is a Tom Ford velvet dress that was initially priced at $6450. Once all the discounts are applied the dress will cost only $855. Here is a Victoria Beckham bustier that's just $232 from $1430, Dior sunglasses are $190 from $450, Valentino loafers are $285 from $1100 and Jimmy Choo printed mule heels are $200 from about $800.

To get the 35% off discount you must by three items. We suggest sorting from low prices to high, if you don't know what to add to your cart to hit the minimum. It's always nice to have a few new pairs of underwear or pajamas. Who can't use a new pair of jeans?

This sale runs trough Wednesday. We can assure you this is Neiman Marcus's rock bottom markdown. It's not going to get any better than this. The next promotions are all gift card events until Fall merchandise goes on sale.

Global Fashions Designer Sale

Global Fashions has always been and remains the leading distributer of luxury brands names worldwide.  The designs of their clothing, accessories and shoes are always on top of everyone's must-have list. The problem with luxury fashion is the ever-rising and staggering price tags. Haven't they become crazzzzy?

Starting Monday, Global Fashions will be hosting a multi-brand sale. There will be a spectacular assortment of designer clothing for men and women, which will include Valentino and Anya Hindmarch with discounts of  80% off clothing. Shoes and bags-- ranging from top selling classics to iconic seasonal pieces-- will be 70% off retail.

The best part is that a lot of the merchandise is from Fall and Winter collections, which means you can get a jump on updating your 'back-to-school' wardrobe. We got a sneak peak and were particularly impressed by the men's selection. There are lots of great jackets, sneakers and backpacks for guys. That's in addition to the ornate clothing and gorgeous shoes and bags for women. You can click here to see a few pictures we snapped during walkthrough.

In addition to the Valentino assortment, there will be merchandise from Alberta Ferreti, Anya Hindmarch, Dolce & Gabbana, Garavani, Marchesa, Moschino and Red Valentino.  You don't want to miss all that.

The sale will only run for four days. If you attended the last sale, you know how quickly the best merchandise was gone. Don't say we didn't warn you!

The It-IT: House Of Holland

It's no news that streetwear is hotter than almost any French or Italian haute house. Vetements, Off-White and ReadyMade are all offering the fashion set, luxury coolness.

Shoe designer, Sophia Webster wearing House of Holland

We've never been keen on chasing the masses and have developed an overwhelming fondness for House of Holland. The British label hit the fashion scene in 2008 with its playful wit and bold prints. The brand is notoriously a favorite of Pixie Geldof and Alexa Chung. The best part is that under-the-radar brand can be found on major markdown at various retailers.

Over at the brand's website, we found discounts of 50% to 70% off. We love this floral embroidered skirt  that comes to about $200. (The problem there is that shipping is about $20.)

Asos also carries a great selection and discounts are often as much as 70%. This embroidered dress is $183 from $460. These jeans are as cool as any pair from Off-White and are priced at just $93 from $316. The sunglasses collection is really statement making and the discounts are amazing too. How about these exaggerated mirrored cat-eyes that are $85 from $240 or this striped pair that's a bit more tame but just as cool for $95 from $240?

Over at Farfetch you can find some great older pieces on sale like this Ratchet tee that's $35 from $115 and a heart midi-skirt is $115 from $105.

House of Holland is also sold at Opening Ceremony, on Howard Street, if you're looking to get your hands on the physical fashion.

Fivestory Clearance & Sample Sale

What we love about shopping at the Madison Avenue boutique, Fivestory is how the inventory goes beyond the basics and satisfies the needs of those looking for drama and haute. Think Balmain, Cushnie Et Ochs, Mary Katrantzou, and of course, Rosie Assoulin.

The problem with such style is the expense and the fast pace of trends. For this reason, we are always looking for an major markdown. Starting Tuesday, August 8, Fivestory will move all it's overstock to Soho where you will be able to save up to 90% off on many items. (You can click here to see what we found and bought at last season's off-site.)

If you're not apt to leave the seashore or travel downtown, we suggest you quickly popover to the Fivestory boutique (or website) right now. The discounts are 70% on many items and there is still a large size selection on even some of the most lust worthy items of the season.

We are in love with these Geanvito Rossi cap-toe heels that are now $240 from $800, an Off-White denim jacket with roses is $275 from $920 and a Rosie Assouline striped sweaters dress is $500 from $1700. Here is a Monse dress shirt that's anything but a basic dress shirt and this Natasha Zinko dress looks like it was picked from a lavender garden in Provence. There is also a good assortment of Roland Mouret items.

There is no doubt that the deals at the off-site will be better than the current in-store discounts but the convenience of online shopping might be worth the premium. Items purchased through the online sale are also returnable, which can't be said about the Soho sale.

Net-A-Porter Sale Ends Tuesday

The last minute is always the most productive minute the day and the second hand is gaining speed on sale season. If you've been putting off making a purchase on Net-a-Porter, we suggest you take this moment and do it NOW. The site's seasonal sale ends Tuesday and once it's done the entire catalogue of merchandise is removed from the site.

Right now, you can find a wide variety of merchandise discounted 70%, plus an additional 20%, which brings the total savings to a grand 80% off retail. So what's especially discounted that warrants a last look?

There is a ton of swimsuits and coverups still available. We especially love this Mara Hoffman bikini that's now under $80 from $240 or this Emma Pake bikini that's only $100 from $435. Here is a Eberjay crocheted coverup that's about $80 from $240. Remember, we still have all of August, early September, Mykonos and fall vacations to get our wear.

Stepping away from the pool and out of the sand, this Mark Cross colorful shoulder bag caught our eye. It's currently reduced to $950 from $2400. (It's hard to gauge if it's even worth the $950-- but it's cute.) Anya's rainbow cross-body is now $450 from $1100. (There's no doubt that it's worth it πŸ’™πŸ’›❤️.) Aquazzura classic lace-up shoes are just $218 from $725 and there are still lot os sizes. These Francesco Russo peep-toe heels are A-mazing and are reduced to $275 from $920 and Charlotte Olympia 'Love' heels are about $280 from $900.

Among the clothing, there is A LOT of Miu Miu and Prada. Most of it is about 70% off once you add the additional discount. Here is a Dodo Bar Or romper that's about $110 from $340, a Roksanda striped dress is $850 from over $2700 and this Roland Mouret top (which I own in navy and looks amazing on) and is now reduced to $280 from $875. (Do you think I need another??)

Remember, this sale only runs through Tuesday and then it's off the site. The next time you see this merchandise it will be on The OutNet and prices will be higher.
