Updated: Fendi Sale Opens to the Public

The LVMH-owned Fendi has been hosting an employee sample sale all week. Usually, to get into these sales you need to have an employee ID and get past several layers of security. Starting Thruday afternoon, the company began allowing a small amount of public customers into the sale.

LVMH employee sales are notorious for offering the most epic discounts. Today we stopped by this sale at 5pm and there wasn't much of a crowed and the door policy was pretty lax. Attendees are required to show ID in the lobby and when checking-in. As predicted, the discounts range from 80% to 90% off.

There are really no bags left to speak and very few small accessories. There are lots of Fendi key chains and charms--  Fendirumis, Micro Monsters, Abcharms, Cookie Bugs and more. All are priced between $100 and $200. There are also iPhone cases and other small gadget gizmos. All sunglasses are $70 and jewelry is 80% to 90% off too. (Pictures are right this way.)

The best selection is the shoes, which are priced as marked at about 85% off. Most shoes are from last winter's collection. We spotted Karlito Fendi sneakers for $180 from $1550,  there were lots of ruffled mules in various colors priced at $120 and ankle boots were $180 from $1300. (You can click here to see pictures.)

Take note,  'opening-to-the-public' is subject to change at any time. The door policy this afternoon seemed inconsistent. Some people seemed to get in while others complain about being turned away. The crowed was very light early in the evening. We expect that the final two hours, tomorrow, will be busier.  Good luck! Please leave comments below about what you see, find and buy.

Fendi Showroom Sample Sale

You're posting wrong information and giving false hope. This sale is not opened to the public. I got an invite from sale hosts and you have to RSVP and show your license to get in...

Hi. Thanks for writing. I am unclear why you are calling it false hope. II can only share the information I was given. I was not told about an RSVP, only that security requires ID-- like most midtown buildings.

Hi Lila, love the blog! Please let us know if you hear any updates about the sale. Would love if the sale to opened to the public so I can score some FENDI goods!

Was just there the door is not strict. Everything is 80% to 90% off.

I got rejected at the door, thank you for lying to us. It was strict, your name have to be on the list and they need your ID. I left work early because you say that it was open to public. You have no shame. I was rejected at 5 pm and again at 6.15pm. I have unfollowed you on tweeter, Insta and unsubscribed to you BS e mail.

I don’t know who you are or why you’re on such a rampage. I was there and the door policy was not strict. They ask for ID and then let you in.

Hi Lila, is the Fendi sale worth a trip tomorrow?

I got rejected at the door as well. Unfortunately, it is not open to public...

What time did you go? There are lots of people who tagged me on Instagram that got into the sale and made out very well.

The door policy seems inconsistent. I can only imagine it will be more difficult tomorrow.

It was pretty straight forward. In order to get in, you had to be on their list & show ID. To be on the list, you had to either be an employee, or guest of an employee or have received an invite from lazar shopping and rsvp to that invite. I rsvp'ed, was asked for ID at the door and let in without a problem. A couple of girls on line ahead of me tried to argue about the sale being open to the public by showing your blog post - they were denied entry. If you're lucky to get an invite, the sale was pretty good, especially for shoes and clothes. Not many bags when I was there and a limit of 1 per person. They've also got watches, sunglasses and these really cool fur bag charms!

Hi, is this sale on friday only till 11 am or even further?

Lila Delilah said...

Yes. It’s only scheduled for 2 hours— until 11.

Chill out lady. Your responses are uncalled for. Without Madison Ave Spy, you’d just be in the dark. I’ve been to sales that change their door policies multiple times a day, depending on how customers act. I’m sure they didn’t let you in with that attitude.

So is this sale open to public or no?

No it's not open to the public. They were really strict. Not only did they want photo ID but then they checked your name against their list.

Lila Delilah said...

It wasn't that strict yesterday. They are letting some people in without invites. Not sure what criteria is being used.

My friend and I went at separate times and both got in yesterday without any issue - I just provided an ID at the door (didn't RSVP or have an actual invite) and was let in. The staff was warm and welcoming and very helpful.

Per earlier comments, bags were nearly all gone. A few Baguettes($350), a few Micro Bageuettes($220), loads of keychains and iphone covers($180-$220). Shoes were fantastic ($100-$180) and there was a decent selection of jewelry and watches($150-$2,500).

Thanks so much for sharing!!

Did anyone get any extra items? Willing it buy them at a premium as I did not get into the sale this morning :(

Ladies ... please calm down with the tirades. Private sales such as this are notoriously inconsistent when they open to the public. Designers need to manage the crowd, so sometimes they will let people in, and sometimes not. Unlike sample sales where the line is around the block ... office buildings will not tolerate that.
