Moda Operandi 75% Off

Moda Operandi is hosting a summer sale where some of the most stylish designer items from the season are discounted 75%. That means you can shop some of the most fashionable pieces of the season for prices that don't even fall into the splurge category.

A Harvey Faircloth tulip skirt is just $110 from almost $400, Thakoon pleated dress is $266 from almost $1000 a print Saloni romper is $98 from $350 and a Kenzo knit dress is $124. Among the shoes are Brian Atwood snakeskin sandals for $280 from about $1000, Pierre Hardy wedges for $222 and Mother of Pearl lobster embroidered espadrilles for $110.

This is M'O and, of course, there is the more expensive stuff too. Check out this Preen by Thorton Bregazzi print skirt that's $600 from almost $2000, an Ellery silk print dress that's $630 from $1700 and a Delpozo flamingo print top for $600 from $1500.

There are really a lot of great pieces in the sale section. You can scroll through the photos above to see our favorites. Take note, a lot of these items are final sale.

Henri Bendel Hostess Gifts 50% Off

This is among the biggest getaway weekends of the year. If you don't have a retreat of your own it's likely you will be finding refuge with friends and family. The only thing harder than hosting guests is figuring out what to buy a hostess.

Fear no more, Henri Bendel is fully stocked with thoughtful and fashionable gifts for your hostess. The best part is that most everything is 50% off, which means you can buy twice as much. After all, a hostess never complained of a guest that was too indulgent.

Some standout items include this multi-layer charm bracelet that's now $99, stripped canvas tote bags that are $44, a large fold-out cosmetic/jewelry bag is $64. Online shoppers can save an extra 20% by forking over their email addy. The selection in the store seems slightly larger and purchases can be messengered in Manhattan for about $25. Here are some pics to browse what's in the store.

Although we love a little $12 'wet bikini' pouch as much as any girl it is really unfortunate to see this incredible space not being used to its full potential. We loved the days of turning into a nook and falling in love with a design or item that was truly unique and fashion forward.

For now, we will be satisfied with Henri Bendel warming the heart of our hostess but hope that it will continue to transform.

Stalking Sales at Saks

Second markdown occurred at Saks Fifth Avenue more than two weeks ago and a third and final markdown isn't far away. If you're wondering what items are still available we have all the answers and lots of pictures too.

Before we dive into what's on sale, we should point out that Saks is running a circus theme beauty incentive. When you spend more than $175 on fragrance or beauty products you receive a red and white clutch filled with lots of premium products. On top of that, many brands are offering brand specific incentives. So this would be a great time to stock up on cosmetics before you head out on holiday.

Targeting handbag markdowns, we headed behind the elevators on the main floor to find lots of Valentino, Lanvin, McQueen, and Stella discounted 50%. You can see pictures of sale bounty right here. Most notable were the Dee Ocleppo (Hilfiger) bags. The fringe on the rattan styles are increasingly growing on us. The idea of not having an easily identifiable bag is also growing more attractive. Another markdown would make it even more attractive.

Heading upstairs to designer clothing, there is a little bit of something for everyone. The discount is a steady 60% off and traffic is dying down as customers wait for the final cut. Some unique standouts are a Sacai trench with lace sleeves (very practical) that's reduced to $1600 from $4000. There are also lots of Christopher Kane's patchwork items including sweaters and jeans. The dress version is still available online here for $252 from over $630. Among the evening wear there is a large assortment of Carolina Herrara. None of the good stuff is online but we have pictures here.

The eighth floor of Saks is more like a canyon of shoes. All of the Chanel shoes are 30% off. (Chanel boutiques are 40%.) Louboutin were reduced to 40% on Friday and there is still a great assortment. Clique for piques. Dior has an entire table of discounted shoes. There are also lots of Aquazurra shoes, which were a hot item this season.

Overall, we wouldn't say there were many surprises at Saks but there is considerably more in the store than what you will find online. As a matter of fact. It's about prime time that Saks gives its website an update. The styling is off, the sorting options are horrible and it's just looking old. Every girl needs a little refresher at some point. Best not to neglect your online presence.

Neiman Marcus Clearance 75% Off

Neiman Marcus started a clearance sale where select reduced items are an additional 40% off. The extra markdown brings the total savings to 75% off original prices. This promotion is only online and ends on Sunday, June 28.

A pretty pink J. Mendel dress with lace detail comes to $735 from $3500, a suede Versace dress is under $400 from $1870 and an effortless aqua Halston Heritage dress is $82 from almost $400. There is a small shoe and handbag selection included in the clearance but it feels more like an expensive DSW than a great sale hunt. Spoiler alert: Lots of Sergio Rossi shoes and Jason Wu handbags.

Outside of the clearance section, normal summer sale merchandise is an extra 25% off. In the handbag area the added promotion brings the discount to 55% off. There are lots of the same bags we've been seeing throughout the sale season from Tom Ford, Givenchy and Alexander McQueen. Actually, this McQueen envelope bag/pouch is adorable for under $200.

Shoes still aren't reduced enough for our liking. For now, we are going to keep our eyes on these Chloe gladiator wedges and these Jimmy Choo studded pumps.

Clothing is the same 60% off as most any other department stores. We are still waiting for these Dolce & Gabbana floral prints to dip under $1000 but this Alice & Olivia graphic maxi shirt dress is just about perfect at $313 from $700. (It's the same print worn by First Lady, Michelle Obama.)

Net-A-Porter Discounts Hit 80%

Net-A-Porter has started to aggressively discount its summer merchandise. Most merchandise has been discounted again and a small amount of merchandise is now 80%.

Among the most discounted clothing is a spattering of sweaters, dresses and shorts. This Vineet Bahl dress is reduced to $100 from $500, a Suno stretch dress is $260 from $1300 and an Ephemera one piece bathing suit is $76 from $380. Among the shoes are magnificent Antonio Berardi patent sandals for $350 from $1750 and Red Valentino star sandals are $150 from $750.

The winner of the most ridiculous item on Net-A-Porter is the Dolce & Gabbana boxed doll that's reduced to $575 from $2875. It's only outdone by the Jennifer Behr face mask that's currently discounted $500-ish from the original price of $675. Not every toy can be as popular as a Karl.

ShopBop 25% Off Sale Items

Just in time for the last minute beach season, Shopbop is offering an extra 25% off sale items. The extra discount brings the ultimate markdown to about 85% off. Just use the code 25MORE at checkout.

This is a great time to stock up. Browsing through the 70% off section, which is final sale, we found a Mary Katrantzou shoes that come to about $250 from $1080. (Perhaps it was priced too high to begin with?) We love this dramatic open front full-length skirt that checks out at about $190 from $770. Keeping within the same section of 70% off there is a romper that comes to just $65, a Rodarte dress that's $6000 off the original price and lots and lots of swimsuits.

The sale ends on Thursday at midnight. This is the best deal you can expect, outside of Shopbop's friends and family sale. Last season a similar promotion only offered customers an additional 20% off. If you ask us, seems like a good opportunity to celebrate July 4th.

YSL Beauty Sale

Yves Saint Laurent Beauty is hosting an online sale where you can save 20% off. Just enter your email address and the discount will be applied to your shopping cart. Shipping is free with a purchase of $75 or more, which shouldn't be difficult considering that a simple lipstick is $35.

Not sure what to buy? We love the the Touche Éclat Foundation, which virtually weightless and works well as a highlighter. Baby Doll Kiss & Blush will kiss your cheeks and blush you lips with the most wonderful air whipped mouse of color. The Effet Faux Cils Babydoll is legendary for it's application brush, which is known to get to the "baby" lashes with just one stroke.

The sale runs through the end of the month. If you miss this promotion, keep an eye out for the Lord & Taylor friend's and family sale. That beauty sale is only 15% but includes Chanel.

The It-it: Retrouvé

For almost two decades La Mer has been the gold standard in face cream but there is a new crème de la crème. Retrouvé launched in 2013 and it's quickly becoming the moisturizer of choice by beauty junkies all over the world.

The Retrouvé skincare line is the brainchild of Jami Morse Heidegger and her husband Klaus Heidegger. Jami comes from a long line of beauty experts--her father and grandfather developed Kiehl’s. The story goes that the couple worked to create a personal line of products that contained the most exclusive and effective ingredients available on the market for her skin, in the highest possible levels of concentration, regardless of the cost.

Needless to say when the mandate of securing ingredients has no budget the product is going to be expensive. Prices range in price from $460 to $520-- about the same as a Botox treatment. The unisex line houses four core anti-aging products: facial moisturizer, face serum, face cream and eye concentrate. Each concoction contains no dyes, artificial fragrances, parabens or silicones and there is no animal testing. They are all really quite luxurious.

We figured that Retrouve was a good last resort before reverting to face freezing. If you're not willing to make such a large investment in the face cream, we suggest hitting Bergdorf Goodman. Their current beauty gift bag promotion includes a half-ounce of Retrouvé. The gift bag is free with any $275 fragrance or beauty purchase and contains lots of other wonderful products like, Tata Harper body oil, Kevyn Acoin eye pencil, Chantecaille face oil, Sulwhasoo serum and a roller ball Gardenia fragrance from Robert Piguet. You can see everything included int he beauty bag here.

Just don't be surprised when all your September fashion magazines have full page editorials about Retrouvé. It's sure to be the IT anti-aging face cream.

Where to Find the Best Discounts Now

This week, second markdown topped the news. Almost all designer brands are on the sale list and have been reduced at least twice. (Chanel is still the exception.) At all of our department store's spring and summer clothing is discounted 60% off but the prices of shoes and handbags vary greatly.

Take note, some boutiques offer even lower discounts than the department stores. Never discount the benefit of pre comparing with the boutiques. Below is a comparison chart of Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue. Take note that the discount on kids clothing at Saks is really fabulous. Hurry and stock up before the kids ship off to camp,

Oh-Hum Finds and Nordstrom Rack

We've been doing so much upscale shopping that we decided to seek out some shopping action in a discount store. We headed due south to Nordstrom Rack, in Union Square.

The store was surprisingly crowded for mid-day. The line was somewhat long but those looking to expedite their purchases can ask for a mobile card swipe--as is done in an Apple store.

The first stop is always the shoe department. The first shoe we spotted was a Ferragamo silver chunky heel for $250 from $750 (71% off). We were encouraged to look further thinking that there would be lots of good finds but we were wrong. It was all down hill from there. Anything less than 60% off at a discount store isn't much of a discount considering that most items are marked down more than 50% during the current season. We found Kate Spade flats discounted 50%, Cynthia Steffe heels reduced 40% and Chloe wedges cut by 50%. Click for pics of the aforementioned shoes and more.

The clothing selection was predominantly contemporary designers, like Kate Spade, Theory, Helmut Lang, DVF and DKNY. Some examples include a Ted Baker print dress for $150 from $300, an IRO tweed jacket for $250 from $800 and a DVF dress for $170 from $428. The store contains lots of clearance racks but sorting through them seems like a rather arduous chore. Pictures are this way.

The best finds are among the beauty products. We found a full assortment of Fekkai hair care, large bottles of Neutrogena body soap and a comprehensive variety of Bliss products. The problem is that most items can be found less at Costco.

Overall, we always love Nordstrom but there wasn't much that was lust-wrothy. It's still always a nice destination to kill an hour.

Inside the Chanel Presale

It's amazing that most local stores have already started their second markdowns when Chanel merchandise hasn't even been discounted once. The Chanel sale doesn't officially start until Tuesday, June 23. Presale will be permitted in Chanel boutiques on Friday but many local department stores have already started to facilitate sale shopping.

The discount on shoes and clothing is 40%. The bag situation is a lot more temperamental. The discount is 30% but most bags that are eligible for markdown don't even make it to presale time. You can check back here for pictures as we receive more intel. For now, we have a pretty comprehensive list of the shoes that are eligible for markdown. Click here to see them all.

Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales are generally the easiest places to presale Chanel shoes. Bergdorf Goodman often has the largest selection of sale handbags but breaking into 'the society of Chanel sale' is more difficult. Barneys, well, is always Barneys.

Good luck and feel free to send pictures and add information in the comment section.

Mr. Porter Discounts Hit 70% Off

Just in time for Father's Day, Mr. Porter has brought their markdown to 70%. Shoppers will find lots of clothing and many accessories that are reduced 70%. Shoes are mostly discounted 50% to 60% off.

Some sale highlights include, Nudie Jeans that are just $62 from $215, Dan Ward swim shorts are $91 from $305 and a cotton and cashmere robe by Emma Willis is $336 from $1120. Among the shoes are Dolce & Gabbana slide sandals for $270 from $625, Adieu two-tone derby shoes are $320 from $800 and Ami green and white suede sneakers are $152 from $380.

Among the accessories are a large assortment of cufflinks and man bags that can be great gifts for dad, the man in your life or yourself. We especially like this Marni/Porter nylon messenger bag, an ombre leather cardholder and this classic Brioni belt.

All you need to do is add a silly card and a yummy treat to make a fantastic Father's Day. Perhaps some game day tickets could be a great addition too.

Berdorf Goodman Starts 2nd Markdown

Bergdorf Goodman just started their second markdown, which means that there are discounts up to 60% off. This newest round of discounts makes Bergdorfs the best place to shop for bags. The Lavender Lady, currently has the largest selection and the best prices of all the New York luxury department stores.

The sale bags are still segregated by their respective designers. Near the North-Fifth Avenue entrance you'll find an assortment of Valentino, Bottega Veneta, Louboutin and Alexander McQueen. Among the Rockstud assortment there are flat clutches in pink, blue and rainbow. In the 57th Street bag atrium, we found an entire table of Tom Ford bags. A large fold over zipper clutch now $1000 from $2000, which isn't on sale at all online. The Tom Ford shopper and the large Alix are both 50% off in the store but they aren't reduced online.

This McQueen skull clutch is now $1500 from $3000, a small gold YSL Sac de Jour is $1400 from $2700 and a Stella McCartney Falabella with stones is $610 from $1220. Online there are also some additional good options, like this The Row backpack hobo that's $1325 from $2650 and this Tom Ford studded cross body bag is $1300 from $2600. You can click through the jump to see a comprehensive photo log of bags still available at the store.

Over in the shoe salon the designer shoes are also discounted 50%. Here are Aquazzura cutout leather bottles, Jimmy Choo cork wedges for $279 and Manolo lace laser cutouts are $400. You can't beat these Sophia Webster sandals with wings for $250 from $500 or these flats for $130 from $260.

Markdowns on clothing are up to 60% but not everything has been adjusted yet. We suggest calling your sales person and jumping on any item that peaks your interest. Head this way to see pictures from inside the store.

Saks Jumps Into 2nd Markdown (Even Bags)

It seems as if we are sale-ing into second markdown season much earlier than anticipated. Saks Fifth Avenue, today, started their second markdown and most all designer items are now 60% off.

We were surprised to find that even some bags are cut by 60%. This Stella McCartney bag is now $890 from over $2200, a Lanvin lizard bag is $1116 from almost almost $2800 and a Dee Ocleppo python handbag is $1375 from $2750. The Christian Louboutin sale just kicked in today but the bags (and shoes) are still at just 40%. We kinda love this Valentine crossbody and this sweet charity.

The same 60% off extends to a large assortment of styles in the shoe department. Chloe ballet flats are just $221, this Aquazzura lace-ups are now $417 from $900 and Saint Laurent black-on-black studded heels are $465 from nearly $1000.

Standouts among the newly reduced clothing include, this MSGM pineapple print skirt that's $172 from $430, a Givenchy top for $290 from $725 and that Saint Laurent stars dress is $1500 from $3750. (Someone needs to take a better look at this styling. Geesh!)

We must admit we are a bit surprised by this markdown. If Saks were an economic indicator, we would suggest you aggressively hedge your luxury investment exposure.

Madison Avenue Debuts: Annick Goutal, Jitrios, Gianvito Rossi & New Louboutin

Spring has officially sprung and new Madison Avenue stores are blooming. One of the most active blocks seems to be Madison at 75th Street. Practically the entire block has been renovated with a notable expansion and several newcomers.

French perfumery, Annick Goutal, just feted the opening of their boutique on the corner of Madison at 75th Street-- formerly the jewelry store, Liliblue. The brand started in the 80s and became well-known in the 90s for their floral fragrances like Gardenia Passion. Today, the brand is capturing the noses of a new generation with blockbusters like L'Ile au Thé.

In April, French designer Jean-Claude Jitrois, known for his luxurious stretch leather designs, opened his first US boutique. Those in Europe, especially Monaco, are more familiar with Jitrios but we have no doubt that the high-tech body-con designs will quickly become part of the Uptown girl's wardrobe.

Christian Louboutin fans should take note that the boutique is growing. The new space looks to be at least twice the size of its current footprint and it will contain a designated men's store. The expansion is long overdue considering the overcrowding that often occurs if there are more than two customers in the store. Let's just hope that the expanded boutique will employ a crop of associates that provide the professional services that should accompany $1000 shoes.

Along the same block will be luxury shoe brand, Gianvito Rossi (son of Sergio Rossi). The location is the luxury brand's first retail store. The Rossi's shoes are currently found by the well-heeled at Net-A-Porter (now 70% off!), Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys.

Last but not least, is the arrival of the Apple store. The tech-everything store officially opens on Saturday and we will be sure to bring over a pie to mark the occasion. An apple pie, no doubt!

Inside Barneys Summer Sale

We are driving full speed into sale season and couldn't help but collect intelligence from the store with the best shoe discount... and bag discount... and second markdown on most clothing. Yes, the discounts at Barneys are topping 60% off.

On the first floor, sale bags are in the right alcove. There you will find several styles of Balenciaga, Chloe and Givenchy marked 40% off. You can click here to see almost all the sale bags. Some highlights include a Givenchy Pandora with a snakeskin front for $2189 from $4150 and several Antigona totes for $1079 from almost $1800. A classic black Chloe Emma bucket bag is $1250 from almost $2100. Alaia portfolio clutch with rivets is $1124 from $1875.

Hitting the upstairs shoe department, the sale section contained lots of designer Birkenstock-type styles, Aquazzura lace-ups and wedges. Pics are over here. Notably missing, are the sale Chanels and Louboutins. The red soles are currently being pre-sold for an official sale start date of Friday but sales people claim to not know what Chanel styles will be marked down later this month. It's quite easy to guess: summer styles minus the super classics.

Most shoes are 40% off. Some notable sale styles are Balenciaga wedges are reduced to $399 from $665, Lanvin flats for $299 from $495 and Alaia heels for $799 from $1340. We also saw these glitter Givenchy Birks, Chloe wedge/clog-hybrids and these Aquazzura flats. Many of the styles we saw are not online but some online winners include the lovely lace-up Isabel Marants that are $639 from $1060.

While sorting through the sale clothing you will find that much of the merchandise has been marked down a second time. The discount on most clothing is 60% off. What's nice about the current shopping experience is that the sale clothing is in its respective places as opposed to the sale exile that comes later in the season.

Among the Prada clothing we found cotton stripped dresses for $509 from $1280, a tapestry patchwork dress is $1329 from $3320 and a long silk print dress is $1269 from $3170. Moving on, there was a long Nina Ricci two-tone long vest dress for $1109 from $2780. Virtually the entire Dolce & Gabbana collection is 60% off too. All the flower prints are still available: red flowers on black, red flowers on white polkadots and purple wisteria on white, white flowers on black and yellow flowers on black. Here are photos.

Some designers, like Celine, are still at 40% off. It seems as if prices are being slowly modified according to designer collection. We would suggest grabbing any iconic pieces now, while this markdown is still on the DL. Click here to see dozens of pictures from todays shopping trip.

Intermix Extra 50% Off Already Reduced

There weren't a lot of blockbuster looks this season but sale season always has a funny way of causing items you would otherwise ignore become attractive. It's kind of the same effect as a fourth glass of champaign at Bagatelle.

Right now, Intermix is hosting a sale where all reduced items are an additional 50% off. Although, nothing initially jumped out at us, we were still available to find a few items worth purchasing because of the nearly 70% off final discount. Take this Yigal Azrouel cape blazer that's now about $460 from almost $1400. A Veronica Beard blazer with a dickey is $270 from $800 and a pretty white lace skirt from Alexis is $160 from $445.

This extra 50% off sale will only last two days. Take note that all sales are final but who has the time to go to the post office send things back anyway?

Net-A-Porter Discounts Now 70%

It feels like the first markdowns just started moments ago but that doesn't stop the competition among retailers. Today, Net-A-Porter upped their discount to 70% on many items.

Some new and notable markdowns include,  a Victoria Beckham floral length full skirt for $735 from $2450. a Melissa Adabash swimsuit is just $75 from $245 and a Peter Pilotto multi color skirt is $400 from $1335.

Some other sale highlights include Miu Miu wedges that are now $375 from $750. These aren't the prettiest shoes or the most stylish of the season but they are utilitarian in the way that you can pack one pair of shoes and wear them during the day and at night. Isabel Marant-style Birks are much more palpable for $272 from $545. Marni pants are $650 from $1300. And there are also lots of basics like Rag & Bone and J Brand skinny jeans for $100 from $200.

This is by no means the end of the line. As time goes on more items will be added to the 70% category. Last year, the online retailer ended their sale on June 24 with a discount that topped 80% on some items. They don't mess around!

Chanel & Louboutin Markdown Intel

Most stores have already started their first markdowns on contemporary and luxury lines but there are always a few brands that strong-arm all retail outlets to hold off on discounts. Starting soon, you will be able to presale seasonal merchandise from brands like Chanel and Louboutin, which haven't yet started their markdowns.

We are told that Chanel will officially go on sale June 20th and presale will begin a few days before then. The discount is 30% off retail. Supposedly there will be very few bags and small leather goods. As a matter of fact, last season there were only eight bags that made it to markdown and women were dueling over them-- primate style . The selection of shoes and clothing are usually much larger. The discounts and selection will be the same at all stores, including Chanel boutiques.

If you're looking for a discount on Christian Louboutin shoes you can head to Jeffery where the discount is 30% but note, that all purchases are final sale. Barneys is offering presale with a discount of 40% and Saks is conducting their own presale with a 30% discount. The sale officially beings Friday at Saks and Barneys. You can click here to see a sampling of styles included in the markdowns.

Shopping for Deals in Euros

The euro is lower than its been for years, which means that shopping overseas is cheaper than ever. This is the first time Americans can take advantage of a strong dollar since e-commerce has become commonplace. Below is an overview of European sales from which you could take advantage.

If you could create the largest shopping mall in the world comprised of only luxury boutiques it would look something like Farfetched. The site is comprised of more than 300 fashion boutiques from Europe and North America. Right now, the site is offering up to 40% off. A Stella McCartney clutch is $354 from a store in Italy but is still $120 more at Neiman Marcus. Another boutique in Rome has this Dolce & Gabbana polka dot Sicily tote for $1326 while its $100 more at Neiman Marcus.

The Florence-based site is hosting a spring pre-sale where select merchandise is discounted up to 50% off. This MCM rabbit print tambourine bag comes to $470. Shopbop's price is still $650. Before checking out, always search for coupons. You can usually save an extra 25% if you can find a good code.

You know that rainbow Valentino tote that we've been lusting over since we saw it on the runway almost a year ago? Italist, the Italian luxury eboutique, has it for $952. That's more than half of the retail price and $300 less than we can find it in the US. The site is interesting in that it floats the currency, which means prices change as the currency changes. For example, last week when the dollar was even stronger, the same bag was $846. Check out this Fendi Peekaboo in a gorgeous black and white. The bag rarely goes on sale in the US but you can save $1000 here.

More Madison Avenue Sales

Most stores on Madison Avenue are officially on sale. Last week we did a rundown of some of our favorite luxury retailers and today we are adding to the designer list and adding lots of contemporary stores too. Shop away, there's nothing like springtime in the city.

Alexander McQueen
Most clothing is 40% off, shoes and bags are discounted 30%. There are several colors of Heroine style bags included in the sale along with a few knuckle box clutches.

Alexis Bittar
Select lucite baubles of plenty are 30% off but some items are discounted more. If you're looking for the items with a higher discount ask the sales person to point you in the right direction before you get hypenotized by full price items.

Alice & Olivia
The discount on most merchandise is 40% off. Take note that the designer is hosting a sample sale next week--details to follow.

Cynthia Rowley
If you haven't been to Cynthia Rowley lately, than you should. The designer is coming back in a major way and now is a great time to stock up on summer fashions that are discounted 30% to 50% off.

John Varvatos
Guys can save 40% off most spring and summer items. Even some Ernst Benz watch styles are included in the sale. Be sure to ask a sales person to point out exactly which ones.

You can now shop for "effortlessly causual" looks for 30% off. For some reason we always find uptight- formal to be a lot easier to style than realaxed-cool.

Most of spring fashion is discounted 20% to 30% off but online you can find some holdovers from last season at 50% off.

Lots of spring and summer styles are discounted 50% off. Unfortunately none of the kids items are reduced but we'll keep our eyes open.

Rebecca Taylor
Speaking of sample sales: Despite the designer's current sample sale, customers are lined up outside the Madison Avenue store today. The discount is 40% off but only four people are allowed in the store at one time. Ha!

Inside Rebecca Taylor Sample Sale

American contemporary designer, Rebecca Taylor is offering up her classic and flirty style for a nice discount at her current sample sale. Today, Paige Turner got an early preview and she was amazed by the volume of merchandise.

Prices are basically the same as last season with dresses for $129, skirts and shorts for $99, blouses for $89 and sweaters for $99. As we mentioned the selection is huge as is the depth of inventory. (That's industry speak for lots of stock in every size.) Among the selection was lots of merchandise that's on sale from this season, like this layered organza midi-dress in black, this lace and leather dress, the Crocus embellished top and this Keyhole blouse. As a matter of fact, if you're looking for a simple blush colored top you can go home with more than ten.

If you're looking for even better deals, you should check out the sample sale rack where dresses were priced at $75 and blouses were $40. We found that the sample sizing varied greatly and some items were damaged. If you're looking for better deals you might want to wait for markdowns. Last season there was an additional 25% off mid-sample sale.
