Sephora Spring Event (Re: Sale)

Just in time for Mother's Day, Sephora is starting a beauty sale promotion where you can receive discounts on most anything in the store. The sale starts on Wednesday and discounts range up to 20% off depending on your loyalty level.

VIB Rouge Members, who spend over $1000 a year in purchases, are issued a 20% discount with the code HEYROUGE. The next tier is VIB, which includes customers with outlays over $350 annually and the discount is 15% with the code HEYVIB. All other shoppers will receive a 10% discount with the code HEYINSIDER.

Despite a healthy lipstick addiction--love YSL's matt and shine and Pat McGrath-- we haven't been too adventurous with our beauty experimentation. We engaged the expertise of Candice Sabatini, beauty expert, consultant, and beauty director of BeautyNewsNYC.com, the first online beauty magazine. Below are all of her top recommendations:

SK-II R.N.A. Power Face Cream ($230)
It's pricey, but the jar is larger (2.7 oz) vs most other 1 oz brands, and I can cover my entire face and neck with just a little bit. I love the silky emollient feel of this luxurious cream. It's not oily, it leaves my skin feeling dewy, and my makeup goes on well. It contains Pitera, the SK-II signature ingredient that is used in their treatment essence. Although SK-II has a separate eye cream, I've been using this under my eyes without any irritation, which is unusual as my eye area is generally very sensitive.

AmorePacific Vintage Single Extract Essence ($145)
When I first heard about using essence, all I could think was, 'Oh no, not another step in my skin care routine.' I think this Korean made essence is quick, easy and worth the effort. Since skincare is always used from the thinnest to thickest products, this is the first step after cleansing. The essence is made from hand-picked green tea and is filled with anti-oxidants. and makes a real difference in the texture of my skin. I use it morning and night.

IT Cosmetics - CC+ Cream with SPF 50 ($39)
I love the way this all-in-one CC cream. It covers imperfections while giving my skin a natural glow. The SPF 50 is a time saver. It comes in a range of 12 colors.

NARS - Hot Nights Face Palette ($59)
I've always been a huge fan of Nars eye shadows and blushes. They go on really well, are highly pigmented, and stay put without creasing. This latest palette is a great choice because the colors are spot on with a little shimmer but are not iridescent, which makes them suitable for every age. The colors are buildable. When the highlighter is used in the right spots it's a perfect finishing touch.

NARS Blush - Orgasm ($30)
I almost feel silly recommending this, because everyone already has it. I use other blushes but I always come back to Nars Orgasm. Day or night,  Summer or Winter, this blush always looks damn great.

STILA - Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick ($22)
This is my absolute favorite lipstick. Looooooong wearing lipstick that goes on like a dream and it stays on all day without fading. It never smudges or crawls. My favorite color is Besos. It's a gorgeous bright red that I get compliments on all the time.

Dior Diorshow Iconic Mascara ($29)  & IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara ($24)
For over a decade, no one could even come close to the Diorshow Iconic Mascara. (I've tried them all!) A couple of years ago, the IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara launched, and the two are in an eyelash to eyelash race for lengthening and volumizing my lashes. My solution? I wear the Superhero when I want a regular mascara and the Diorshow in waterproof when I know my eyes might be tearing up.

Luisa Via Roma Discounts of 70% Off

For the past several years we have been heavy into shopping from Luisa Via Roma, a boutique in Florance, Italy. Their designer assortment is great, the customer service is wonderful and they can get an order from Via Benedetto Varchi to the UES in under 30 hours. The highlight, of course, is the great discounts.

Right now, Luisa Via Roma is hosting a promotion where sale items are an additional 30% off. That brings the total markdown to over 70% on several great items. Just use the code LC30 at checkout to engage the additional savings.

Over this way, we found Sanayi slides are $455 from $1300, a Prada print blouse is $280 from $788, and a JW Anderson miniskirt is $190 from $1365.  (That last one is actually closer to 80% off. It's a size US4 or it would otherwise be mine,) Take some time to explore some new designers. It's surprising what you can find when you get outside our of our mass media bubble. Look at this Vita Kin embroidered top that's $890 from $2122.

As previously mentioned, Luisa Via Roma offers great customer service. Most of the time, shipping and returns are free and there are no duties that need to be paid by the customer.

Saks Off-Fifth: 90% Off Designers

Over Spring Break we found ourselves starved of an authentic shipping experience and stumbled into a local Saks Off-Fifth discount store. Inside, we found a quarantined area of top designer fashions that were reduced an additional 30% off and then an extra 10%, which brought the entire discount to nearly 90% on some items.

Inside the store we found a great assortment of McQueen blazers and coats that were reduced nearly 80% off. The promotion is also taking place online but the assortment isn't as electic. Here is a highlighly orgnate McQueen dress-- might even be Met Ball worthy-- that comes to $630 from $6600. This ruffled skirt is $400 from $2765 and a classic blazer is $660 from $2500.

Beyond the fashion, there is a promotions for 70% off fine jewelry that fits in perfectly with Mother's Day quickly approaching.  A 33" tripple strand 14K gold necklace is $680 from $1700, a double-stand 14K gold necklace with heart pendants is $250 from $650, and oversized hoop earrings are $122 from $305. We are even into these little studd earrings sthat are under $100 and wouldn't mind getting two paris to mix and match shapes.

We normally wouldn't advociate buying jewelry at a discount departnet store it's a pretty safe bet as long as you keep it simple, keep it under $1000 and save your reciept.

Balmain: 70% Off Now

Century 21 is starting to institute a Supreme-esque "drop" strategy to its website. This week the discounter announced it will be offering a large assortment of Balmain for deeply reduced prices.

Over this way, we found nearly 200 Balmain pieces for men and women all reduced 60% to 70% off. Here is a classic Balmain tee for $89 from $250 and here is a tee with a graphic for $200 from $560. A classic double breasted blazer is $750 from $2100 and houndstooth version is $619 from $1735.

Once you finish browsing the Balmain selection, head over to the kid's department. There is a large assortment of Pucci and Versace for that's reduced about 60% off. These classic print Pucci shorts are $60 from $150 and this Versace floral print dress is $300 from $800. There are also a lot of Versace bikinis for $99 from $350.

As a matter of fact, we suggest you browse through the Century online assortment before you dive into Lester's and Denny's for full-price camp clothing. There is a great vareity of Fiorucci tees and sweatshirts that are reduced 80% off. They are perfect for older girls. There are also lots of denim shorts and Butter shorts options that are nicely discounted.

Century 21 always feels like a hike into the wilderness, which is very apropos when shopping for camp or Balmain.

Intermix Sale: 65% Off

Shoppers seem to have very strong feelings towards Intermix. Most people reminisce about the "Old Intermix" and recall a time where you can find lots of affordable new designer merchandise. Other customers claim total loyalty for its ability to wardrobe the entire East End of Long Island.

Personally, we like Intermix for its great sales. Where else could you score a Canada Goose Down jacket for 40% off on Black Friday? Most of our denim collection is curated from the Intermix sale section, along with a few key Balmain and Brandon Maxwell pieces-- of course.

Right now, Intermix is hosting one of those special sale moments where you can save an additional 40% off reduced merchandise. Most of the discounts come to 65% off but some are even higher.  A Rag & Bone denim skirt for $50 from $300 is basically a no-brainer. Here is a Ronny Kobo dress for $190 from $460 and this Love Shack Fancy frock is $150 from $425.

Some of the more designer-y options are this asymmetrical David Koma dress that's about $550 from $1250,  Jean-Michel Cazabat suede high boots are $360 from $995,  and a Missoni knit duster is about $400 from $1600. Don't miss the Lizzie Fortunato earrings that are reduced to $60 from $275. (We clearly have a Lizzie addiction.)

The sale contains a mix of the current season and holdovers from the Winter. If something is priced well enough, like those suede boots, we suggest you buy them now and open them in November as a Fall treat. This extra 40% off promotion runs through Friday.

Bergdorf Goodman First Markdown - Contemporary

For the fast few months, we have been tracking lots of reward shopping incentives, sale-on-sale discounts and friends and family promotions. Sale season is about to get real serious as stores begin their markdowns on contemporary designer merchandise. Bergdorf Goodman just started its newest markdowns, which translates to the first markdown on contemporary labels.

The sale isn't officially live until Thursday but here is the early access link. The discount is 30% to 40% off on most merchandise. Over this way, we found Veronica Beard high-rise jeans for $150 from $300, a Current Elliot denim jumpsuit is $220 from $370 and, a Tibi white belted dress is $446 from $600.

We looked through the shoes and handbags but didn't see anything outstanding. On the "bright side" there are lots of sunglasses markdowns. These Dior quilted glasses are $280 from $400 and Fendi Iridia sunglasses are $330 from $470.

This is still the very early stages of sale season. We would expect that more merchandise will be added to the sale section over the next week and the real first break will come on May 7. For now, you can price check Neiman Marcus, which also just started early access its First Call sale.

ShopBop's First Official Markdown

Online retailers don't quite run sale season the same way traditional store calendars negotiate markdowns. Shopbop for example just started its first full markdown on Summer clothing, shoes and accessories. Meanwhile, most retailers won't start markdowns for at least a few more days.

The discount seems to run from 30% to 40% off retail. Golden Goose sneakers are $371 from $530, an Alice & Olivia cardigan is $245 from $350 and a candy pink sweater from Velvet is $110 from $158. Heading to the designer options, we found a Paco Rabanne mini shoulder bag for $534 from $890, Lizzie Fortunato earrings are $250 from $415, and a Petersyn print button down is $180 from $256.

Of course, there are items even reduced more from prior seasons. A R13 leather pants are $400 from $3300, a Cushnie one shoulder dress is $550 from $1500 and an Adam Lippes blouse is $207 from $690.

If the item you're watching isn't included in this markdown it is likely to be added in the next sale drop. Usually, the site adds batches of merchandise every few weeks.

Neiman Marcus Discounts Reach to 85% Off

Over the past few weeks, Bergdorf Goodman has been adding lots of designer merchandise to its clearance category. The discounts top 75% to 80% off and the store will be starting a promotion where sale merchandise is marked an additional 30% off.

Upon browsing, we found an Olivier Theyskens dress already reduced 80% off and with the extra markdown it comes to just $470 from $3360, a Loewe bird print top will be $64 from $400 and a Missoni knit pink dress will be $350 from $2000. The discount among the shoes isn't quite as high and sizes are scarce but it still makes sense to cherry pick. Chloe classic scalloped low-block heels will be $190 from about $575 and Balenciaga knife shoes with a daisy print will be $332 from $950.

The Bergdorf Goodman promotion is scheduled to start Monday but will likely begin Sunday evening. The promotion will run through Wednesday. If you don't find anything in the sale section, you can start browsing contemporary designers section, which will go on sale later this week.

Breaking: Bloomingdales Private Gucci Sale

We just received word that Bloomingdales is hosting a private presale of Gucci shoes. Shoppers will receive $25 off every $100 spent. It's not a gift card, it's actually money off your final tab, which we always love. The best part is that the entire Gucci shoe collection included in the promotion.

We've been lusting after the Gucci floral print Princetown slides that will come to $640 from $790 after the promotion. We've been also deliberating over the Princetown loafer in navy or the Brixton in Bordeaux. More seasonal styles that could be a consideration include the stripped pool slide that's $235 from $310, espadrille wedge sandals are $465 from $590 and GG Supreme sneakers are $455 from $580. We have some pictures from inside the store right here.

Keep in mind, this is only the presale. The promotion will hit online on April 23. We suggest you head to the store now or add things to your cart and periodically refresh.

Moda Operandi VIP 30% Off

Moda Operandi just started set off another VIP discount that will save you 30% off a small assortment of new season merchandise.  Click here to see the selection and use the code SPRING30 to engage the discount.

The best part of this sale is that there are a lot of bags. The sale assortment includes a large assortment from Judith Leiber, Dolce & Gabbana, Simon Miller, Danse Lenta and more.

We love this Black Amex "No Limit" clutch from Leiber that comes to $2800 from $4000 and this Russian Doll jeweled bag is $3500.  We also love this cobalt blue Simmon Miller bag that will be $400 from $590 and the Danse Lente Mini Pheoby is $300 from $430. There are also some great shoes and sandals. Malone Souliers flats are $460 from $585 and Bally Mules are $430 from $650.

Take note, many of these items are selling out as we are writing this post. We suggest you hop over asap and not spend too much time stalking.

Nordstrom: Spring Sale 40% Off

Some New Yorkers are still wearing their Amazon Winter coats but retailers are already trying to get a move on Spring merchandise. Nordstrom just started an early Spring sale where most discounts hover around 50% off.

Some of the sale highlights include this Tibi sleeveless dress for $416 from $695 or this Valentino dress is a higher end option at $960 from $2980. A bi-color Danse Lente bag is reduced by 25% and this pretty pink Max Mara coat is 60% off.

This markdown just started and runs through May 22. The Nordstrom Half-Yearly sale, when all the designer merchandise goes on sale, is usually the last week of May.

Barneys VIP Pre-Sale; 40% Off

Designer markdowns in April? We wouldn't believe it unless, of course, we received official notice. Barneys has started the earliest first markdown that we ever remember. The sale is only currently available through this private link.

The discount is up to 40% off and includes lots of designer brands like Balenciaga,  Off-White, Versace, Balmain, Nili Lotan and more. Take note, this isn't the true first markdown but there is still an interesting selection from which to browse.

It appears as if this early markdown is a way to entice shoppers to buy slower-selling merchandise. For instance here is a classic style Balenciaga BB bag it's reduced to $1130 from $1890 but it's highlighter yellow. In the instance of these Giannico velvet mules, we really like the yellow. The price is $570 from $960.

Other, less trendy highlights, include these velvet Golden Goose sneakers that are $565 from $339,  a Jordash denim jacket for $270 from $450, and these Re/Done high-rise loose jeans are $150 from $255. We are also intrigued by this Frame denim blouse and this "City of Angles" cashmere tee.

We realize this isn't the real first presale or markdown but it's always exciting to see a sale section. Last Spring, the first markdown presale usually started on May 15. This season, the sale trend is shifting earlier and earlier. We will be sure to keep you posted. You can click over this way to see all the information about presale at Barneys last Spring.

Bloomingdales Friends and Family Sale

It's been exactly a year since Bloomingdales combined all of its shoe departments into a virtual shoe farm on the fifth floor of its New York flagship. At first view, the choice seemed to make sense. Convenience and organization but the result appears it could have been a miscalculation.

While the shoe floor is usually bustling, the fourth floor with designer clothing section is a ghost town. During our last visit, there was just one lowly salesperson on the entire fifth floor, which contains more luxury clothing brands.

The contemporary floor isn't much better. The big difference is that there is an overwhelming selection of clothing packed together. It's hard not to get anxiety for the mere volume of polyester and denim.

When the shoe departments were spread among apparel, there was a chance for customers to be inspired and explore. As you were walking to see the new Chanel ballet flats, you might happen upon a great dress or a great top. As things stand, clothing is only attended by necessity.

In celebration of the Bloomingdales friends and family sale, we made it a mission to find some positives. The discount is 25% off but most higher end brands are excluded. If you're interested in an item not included in the discount, you can always engage the loyalist program and receive a $25 gift card for every $100 spent.

Some considerations that are included in the saving portion of the friends and family promotion include these Levi skinny jeans with knee rips that come to $75 from $100 and this Sandro cotton lace dress that's $333 from $445. (It's actually really pretty in person and even the cotton is a nice quality.)  The promotion can also be applied to sale items. These high-rise Kopples jeans come to $75 from $250 and Koral leggings come to $69 from $115.

The friends and family promotion runs through Sunday, April 14. We suggest that you shop during this markdown. The next sale with similar discounts won't be until mid-May.

ShopBop VIP Sale Link

The hugely popular Shopbop sale event kicked off today for VIPs. Shoppers can use the code EVENT19 and save up to 20% on orders under $500 and 25% on orders above $500. Of course, there are designer exclusions. Shopbop's list isn't usually very bad but some of the higher end designers aren't participating.

The best part of this sale is that you can apply the discount to previously reduced merchandise. For this reason, we always like to start browsing in the sale section. We are really into these linen scalloped slides that are already reduced to $276 from $395. Here is a banana leaf print DVF wrap maxi dress that's reduced lower than sample sale prices ($178 from $300). These J Brand high-rise wide-legged jeans are exactly what we've been waiting to go further on sale ($194 from $278).

Another option is to always use the savings to get a jump ahead of the trends. You can save 25% off most Golden Goose sneakers.  This check pair is already reduced and comes to $350 from $550 after the promotional discount. We love Colovos belted two-tone shirt dress ($675) and we would love to try out this pink MSGM drop waist bow back dress.

Remember, the trendiest of items go fast at this sale. Better to snatch them up now than to wait until the sale ends on Saturday. Get shopping.

Inside: Lanvin Private Sample Sale 90% Off

What is Lanvin without Albert Elbaz? It's a lot of logo and fine fabrics but you can judge for yourself. This Lanvin sale is still technically private but there isn't a list at the door.

We always love this sale because the discounts are great and there is always some prize to take home. (We even spotted some Elbaz items.) Dresses are reduced 90% off retail and all other items are discounted 80%. The other reason we appreciate this sale for the great selection for men.

As always, the sale is very well organized and the salespeople are among the nicest you'll encounter at a sample sale. As a matter of fact, one woman left behind a diamond ring while trying on jewelry and the salesperson tracked her down to make sure her ring was returned.

The merchandise selection isn't hasn't been as amazing since the Elbaz years and it's not getting better. There are a few styles of bags, shoe sizes are limited and the jewelry selection is nearly nonexistent.

That being said, we spotted bodysuit for $580 from over $5800. A gold lamé gown is $460 from $4590. We spotted an old Elbaz dress reduced to $240 from $2400. Blazers come to about $600 from $2900. We only found ballet flats and sneakers in size 35. Ballet flats and sneakers were both about $140 from $700. (You can click here to see pictures of what we found inside the sale.)

There is also a great assortment of merchandise for men. Bow-ties, cummerbunds and lapel flowers are $20 but we stocked up last year when they were priced at $10. We expect that some items will be marked down further on the final day of the sale --Wednesday.

Lanvin Sample Sale
Monday, April 8 through Wednesday, April 10

Neiman Marcus: Buy More, Save More

Today we got a little sneak peek into what Spring really feels like. The warm weather and bright blue skies have us revving for long Summer weekends. Good thing, Neiman Marcus has met the match of Mother Nature and is offering a sneak peek into it's latest buy-more-save-more promotion.

Right now, you can use this link to save up to 30% off already reduced items. The deal goes, if you buy one item, you save 20%. Two items, save you 25% and three items will reduce prices by 30%.  This is the type of sale that retailers love to use to "clear the racks." We are just going to assume that we're all going for the big savings of 30% off.

We spotted these Balenciaga pool slides that will come to $200 from $650. These Saint Laurant boots are $600 from $2500. This RtA red leather skirt is $280 from $800 and an Opening Ceremony blazer is $170 from $500.

You can always sort through the lowest cost items if you need an extra item to hit the big discount. There are lots of workout items that are priced about $25, which would be $18 with the extra 30% off.

This sale promotion runs through Thursday. The next Neiman Marcus sale will be in a few weeks but the discount will be just 20% off. We suggest you load up now.

Saks Friends & Family (and 70% off)

Saks Fifth Avenue friends and the family sale started this week. The incentive is 25% off but there are so many exclusions that we were hesitant to jump in. We thought our time would be better spent strolling the store than trolling the site.

In February the flagship Saks unveiled a renovated first floor, which is barely recognizable to its former state. It is modern, youthful, and open. There is no doubt that the upgrades represent a generational shift in shoppers. The new main floor encourages wandering and exploration but there still feels like something is missing despite the new lighting and escalator repositioning. Retailers are still in the infancy stage of understanding what the future of shopping.

The old days of friends and family sales are gone too. What's included in the markdown is confounding as the Instagram algorithm. For instance, a rack of MGMC was included in friends and family and another rack isn't. Unsurprisingly, the piece we liked wasn't included in the sale.

Some items we found in the sale, and liked, are this Cinq a Sept blazer that has Balmain-strong shoulder but isn't obnoxious. It would also be fun to play around with this Rebecca Taylor tweed jacket, like mixing some long pearls and gold chains to give a Chanel vibe. This Theory double-breasted lightly structured wool coat (in navy) seems like a good dupe of the Row's version.  Men's Golden Goose (not women's) are also included in the promotion.

Friends and family brands that are more straight forward include Stuart Weitzman, Cult Gaia and all the pupular denim brands. You can have your choose from J Brand, Paige, 7 For All Mankind, AG and on and on.

While you're shopping promotions, also take note that there is a 70% off sale section that is live through Friday. Some standouts include this Monse trench for $990 from $3300, paper bag pants from TRE by Natalie Ratabesi for $400 from $1400 and the Prada flame skirt for $330 from $1120.

We aren't too surprised by this schizo Saks friends & family sale. It's rather become the norm but we must say it's more irritating than it is friendly.  For what it's worth, the promotion runs through Monday, April 8 but we wouldn't be surprised if there was an extension.

Chanel Capsule Collection Drops at Barneys

Barneys has a lot of great things but not a great Chanel department. Yes, there are shoes but beyond Cs for your feet, you'll have to walk west to Bergdrofs or East to Bloomingdales. This is why we were so excited to learn that Barneys on Madison will be offering a capsule collection of the Chanel Summer 2019 collection.

The assortment includes bags, clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. The best part is that we got a secret inventory list of all the merchandise included in the Barneys collection. You can click here to see everything along with pictures from the set-up. The assortment is really some of the best items in the collection. This is a great opportunity to grab one of those special pieces that might have already sold out at other retailers.

The collection goes live to the public on Thursday morning and will remain available for about two weeks. In the store, you can find the assotment on the sixth floor.

Some of the more popular collection pieces include the CHA-NEL earrings ($975), cotton cropped CHA-NEL shirt ($2200), the Chanel drapped crystal belt ($4100), the wide-brimmed hat ($2100) and the two-piece knit Camilla ensemble ($3250). The collection also has a few key bags, like the PVC flap bag with an oversized pearl handle ($4000) and the double bags aka "Side Packs" ($6900). (Click for pics.)

We suggest you study the Chanel website, which contains detailed pictures and pricing. Once you're sure of an item you can call in a credit card for a purchase.

Inside: The Jimmy Choo Sample

This morning, the Jimmy Choo sample sale kicked off for press and VIPs. Just before 11am, there were only about thirty people waiting in the cue for general RSVP admission but that was just a temporary situation. By noon, the line nearly reached Sixth Avenue, almost a full city avenue. (Head over to can see Instagram Stories to see the extent of the wait.)

Inside, shoes are organized by color on racks and bags are on tables. The best deals are men's shoes, which are all $150. Women's shoes start at $250 but anything with embellishment falls into the $325 category. Boots, this season, are priced at $375. Click here to see.

Handbags prices have also held steady. Small handbags are $250. Most of the most attractive styles are the larger category bags but the entire assortment wasn't exactly enticing. Keep in mind, there is a $200 supplement for exotics, like pony hair. You can see the full pricing list and pictures of shoe and bags from the Jimmy Choo sample sale over here.

So, what will you find? This is the best selection we ever recall but really nothing worth waiting for hours-- especially at these prices. Even the men's selection is better than in prior years. Sizes start at 34 and go up to 42.  Size 37 had a great selection but size 38s were running thin the entire time we were at the sale. On the bright side, we were told that there is a lot of backstock.

The best buys are the wedge sandals and classic Jimmy Choo heels. Retail prices are normally about $700 but they often come on TheRealReal for between $150 and $250. Many times they are even brand new.

It was refreshing to shop the sale and find more than just old style shoes. Jimmy Choo has great new styles and we are looking forward to seeing more of that at upcoming sales. You can click this way to see pictures of what we think are the best styles from the Jimmy Choo sample sale.

The sale runs through Friday. Even though the weather is beautiful, we would avoid waiting in line for hours with the early rush. Prices are usually reduced on the last day. That's when the fun begins!

Farfetch VIP Sale: 30% Off

We have sworn away puffer coats and bulky sweaters but now we are feezing everywhere we go. Beyond sipping hot tea, it's getting hard to stay optimistic.  Nonetheless, we know that warmer weather will be here soon (hopefully) and we are intent on shopping for shoes that liberate our toes and bare our shoulders.

Look no further than Farfetch, we were just given an early alert to an amazing promotion. Right now, you can use this link along with the code FF2019 to save 30% off new collection and sale merchandise.

There are lots of full price exclusions, which are indicated by the 'New Season,' ‘Permanent Collection,’ and ‘Exclusive’ labels. It's nearly impossible to find anything that doesn't fall into one of these categories. When you do find something, it's an item that should be in the sale section, like this Givenchy fringe bag that comes to about $1000 from $1400.

Your time is better spent concentrating on the sale section where final markdowns hit 80% off once you account for the discount code. Here is a Givenchy pouch that comes to $300 from $835. White Neous sandals with a round heel are really new season and come to $370 from $575, mules are $240 from $564, and a PVC/ patent leather style sandal is $170 from $450.

We aren't sure we would consider these Balenciaga pool slides a steal for $300 but they are discounted from $600. (Insider tip: Don't buy men's slides unless you have a wide foot. They never fit right even if the sizing works.) New season Prada shoes are $550 from $870.

We love this straw and leather tambourine bag from Mehry Mu that comes to $250 from $354 and this neon Balmain clutch is very SS2019 and comes to $1052 from $1656. We've been crushing on Perrin Paris bags for ages and this is the first time we've seen them on sale. This clutch comes to $550 from $995. We were also surprised to stumble upon this VLTN Valentino bag for $1000 from $2445.

This sale will go public later this week and runs all month, which means you should take advantage of the hidden gems while site traffic is still light. We suggest you spend some time searching for the brands you like within the sale section. We stumbled upon a few surprises.

SAMPLE SALES 🌼🌸🌺 for April: Updated Sonia Rykiel

Spring is in the air (or at least it should be) and we couldn't be more excited to start planning for the warmer weather. New sandals, lightweight dresses and lots of rosé, of course. We aren't quite ready to start pulling out the bikinis but long weekends will be here before you know it.

We've exclusively listed only the sample sales that we would personally consider attending. The post will continue to be updated throughout the month and remain just a click away in the right sidebar. Below is a list of what we believe to be April's best sample sales. Feel free to leave feedback in the comments section so that everyone can benefit.

Jimmy Choo Sample Sale
The Jimmy Choo sale is legendary for the VERY long line and its discount prices. Basic pumps and sandals are usually $200, booties are $325 and boots are $375. Women's shoes run from size 35 to 42 and men's go from 43 to 46. At the last sale, men's shoes were priced at $250 or $375 and included loafers, Oxfords, driving shoe and ankle boots. There was a large assortment of the designer's high-quality print dresses, skirts, and knits. If you're looking for a real sample sale experience, this is the sale to attend.

Marc Jacobs Sample Sale
What has become of Marc Jacobs? So much talent, yet the label seems to be in hibernation. Nothing in fashion stays the same and it's only a matter of time until this sleeping bear wakes. For now, you can fancy yourself as a collector and snag huge discounts from the Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs collections.

Sonia Rykiel
We are so excited that Sonia Rykiel is hosting a sample sale starting Sunday. We can't remember any prior sales from the French designer. We are told that this will be a "real" sample sale with excellent prices. There will be a selection of children's clothing for women and children. This sale is only two days but we are hoping it will be successful enough to become a reoccurring event.

We always love the Lanvin sale because the discounts are great and there is always some prize to take home. (We even spotted some Elbaz items.) Dresses are reduced 90% off retail, bags are 70% off and all other items are discounted 80%. The other reason we appreciate this sale for the great selection for men.
